I had to use this tool for the first time and it worked great. The unit itself seems well built, and the cables connected with no issues. I was able to look at individual items and view/ clear fault codes. I have not used the regen feature, but will report back once I do. The menu seems well layered out and easy to use. I would recommend this scan tool as it has already paid for itself.

this product was a present for a friend who owned a couple of freightliner trucks from 2014 to 2019. he got a chance to use it 3 days ago and said it was junk. i went over and we hooked it up to the 2019 truck that had a code on it. the scanner would not detect it. the scanner said there were no codes on the truck, but the check light was on. i did a soft scan using the trucks diagnostic feature and it showed the code that was a problem with the def sensor and that there were 17 past codes for the same problem. we unplugged the scanner and hooked up again and still no codes showed up. we used a friends after market scanner and the codes came right up. thinking it was a problem with truck we hooked up to the other 2 trucks and my kw t700 and nothing. it wouldn't read any codes or any old history codes. i would give this thing zero stars but the lowest you can go is 1 so that's what it will get. do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this scanner, it's just gonna make you made.

The NEXAS Nexlink NL102P is a capable heavy-duty truck scanner. It covers a wide range of systems and provides useful diagnostic information. However, I've found the user interface to be slightly less intuitive than some other scanners I've used. Still, a solid option for professional mechanics.

Plugged this into an RV and it set 3 DEFcodes and turned on the check engine light. Wouldn't turn the check engine light off. Ordered a different brand (Launch) and cleared the codes set by the Nexas

The user interface is simple and straight forward. No learning curve. If you have used a scanner before, this one will function in a similar manner. I was able to view codes, freeze frame data, and reset check engine lights without any frustration. The build quality of the scanner and cable felt premium. This scanner has so many functions built in. I can replace several of my other scanners and just take this one scanner when I need to be mobile. It has been reliable enough for me to trust it in my go bag. It has my approval.

I would definitley research and find the one that will do all you need it to. Not a bad product but it will not allow me to do a manual regen.
