FINALLY got my son to take a bottle with this tool
They say my son has oral phase dysphagia (essentially he struggles to manipulate food/liquid in his mouth so he is VERY guarded in food/bottle introduction or changes) because I became pregnant when he was 7 months old my milk supply seized and I kept thinking my son would finally let me give him a bottle but as timepast he regressed in his feeding schedule back to a Newborn schedule (still stubbornly nursing). He started to lose weight and finally his diapers started to get dryer and dryer. I knew at that point I had to intervene and start force syringe feeding him formula to get him to put his weight back on. It took almost 2 weeks for him to finally start nursing on syringe but I still couldnβt get him to take a bottle as the shape and texture of the syringe were different than that of a bottle. That is when I found these syringes! They were the perfect next step in the transition of getting him to accept a bottle. It took another week for him to start nursing on these and then finally I could bottle feed him!!A couple things to note:-YES! They easily slip out if you get it to close to the end. It took me a minute to figure out how to best make it work for us. (Mind you I had to constantly wrestle him down so I had to be able to keep good control of him and the syringe)-One hand manipulation capable!! This was crucial and made it so much easier to operate and use and more quickly get feedings done. MUCH easier than normal syringes because after feeding him one syringe full with the normal syringe I would have to let him go to use 2 hands to get milk back into the syringe. THEN re-wrestle him into position and start all over again. With THESE syringes I could maintain a good hold on him and re fill the syringe with one hand (so long as I had my station all set up right for the full feeding)-DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE HAKKAA brand! It is more expensive and VERY difficult to use!! I love HAKKAA and have other HAKKAA product but their syringe version CONSISTENTLY got stuck to the point that I need both hands to get it lose but needed so much pressure that the plunger part came out so abruptly and uncontrollably and then milk went EVERYWHERE!I hope this helps!

Helps with toddler
My daughter has been using these since she started teething. I have never had an issue with her taking her tylenol/motrin with these. I recommend!

Good for little ones
I purchased for my daughter who lives in another state. She said they worked great and my grandson, drains them dry

Eh!
I planned on using these for my daughter because she wouldnβt take a bottle at first. And she seemed to like syringes with some medications that she likes but these particular syringes they leak and they have a really fast flow. I do have to take in consideration she was a little bit younger to where she kind of couldnβt handle the fast flow. But the leaks got annoying. Wasting time, Breast milk, and even formula. It just made a messy. Messy purchase unless your tryi mf to using on an older child or Pet. Itβs not for us. ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½

Defective - no seal
The idea is great but the execution is very poor. The plunger does not form a tight seal so there is no way to generate suction. They are completely useless for the intended purpose. Without suction, you canβt pull up any liquid let alone retain it in the syringe.

Just what I needed
My 10 month old was losing weight and she fought every sippy cup and bottle I threw her way. I tried these as a last hail mary and they work! She basically uses it as a straw, I don't have to push the plunger much. Don't know why she won't just use a straw, but I'm glad she's using something. I obviously don't want to feed her with a syringe long term, but this is the only thing ensuring she drinks enough milk to gain a healthy amount of weight. It's taken a lot of stress off of me for the time being!
