I bought this for my 2 yr old granddaughter specifically because it had a Velcro closure rather than a zip. I was pleased with how soft everything is! We purchased this as a gift for a little girl who loves mommy dogs and puppies and it was the perfect gift. These dogs and bag are so soft and they come with cute little accessories, like a bone and blanket. The bag makes it perfect for toting the animals and accessories around.
