Excellent blast cabinet!
Converted to a vapor blaster, it works perfectly.Great value, well built, 2 men to assemble would be helpful.Recommend a lot of silicone on all joints inside be installed WHILE YOU ARE ASSEMBLING if you are vapor blasting. Its a pain in A to do afterwards. If you're tall get 4 sections of 2" PVC x 24" long and 8 hose clamps to add adjustable legs to unit, its a backbreaker leaning over for hours while blasting, raising it up a bit changes everything.

Decent unit for under Two hundred that needs a bit of tweaking to be great
I was into sand blasting years back, with a Central Pneumatic benchtop unit. The gloves finally gave up, and it leaked like a sieve, so finally I gave up.I wanted to get back in, but pricing was an issue. Here, I can get back in for less than $200.What I like about this unit:It is a good home unit as far as size, stability, and capability. The window is glass, with a plexi film on the top, and a stick-on plastic film on the bottom to protect the glass. Mine came with five extra stick-on films, so I was happy about that. I don't understand the other viewers comment about stick-on film. Why wouldn't you want something to protect the glass? The gun is fine. The hoses I will address below. It leaks, but only seems to leak about the window frame. A little foam during installation, like that inexpensive window foam will take care of this. The rest of the cabinet seems fine.I like their move to a plastic door. The old metal doors they used to use were thin, often got bent up going back and forth, so this is an improvement.Love the shelf. Great place to store spare nozzle tips, and other small items you may be using or even blasting. It is in there for stability, but quickly becomes a nice shelf. What I don't like:-The gloves are cheap. I expect to be replacing them within a year or so.-The light is strange. I first thought it was an LED stick light, but it seems to be a low voltage fluorescent. I don't like the transformer at the end of the cheap cord, and I usually unplug it rather than use the switch on the side, which by the way installs upside down, so off is up. The light also flutters after a while, I think maybe due to the static? I don't know, but some advocate replacing it with LED pucks. I hesitate due to the battery issues with these. So far, I am doing OK with the provided light, but am thinking of changing it out for a good stick LED unit.-This is an absolute BEAR to assemble. Think propane gas grill, times two. I am a pretty good mechanic, and general fix-it guy, the one guy in my neighborhood people come to for tools, advice and help. This took me a full six hours to assemble, fine tune, and get right.-The hoses - ohhh, the hoses...They are TOO soft and kink. They pop off their fittings even with stainless steel worm clamps. And the fittings are too smooth. Just bite the bullet, go to a big box store, and buy that stiffer clear hose in the same diameter in the plumbing department and a couple of decent barbed hose fittings. It is the air supply hose that is the biggest problem with staying on, and the bigger pickup hose kinks almost automatically. I replaced both and I am very happy I did. Cost about $10. Made all the difference in the world. With the originals, you are so busy trying to see through the cloud and watch your article you are blasting you don't realize the original hoses will crimp almost all the time, eliminating your air or ability to pick up media. Finally, beware of the door on the bottom. I knew it would leak a little - I put a bucket below. What I didn't realize was the speed it will tear itself out of your hand with only 6-8 lbs of media in the unit, and knock over your bucket and drop all your media on the floor. And I added a copper washer to the clamp rod that holds the door to make it seal tighter so it won't leak.

Damaged parts.
The carton itself looked undamaged when it was delivered, but there were several metal panels inside that were kinked and bent that I ended up straightening myself. I worked slowly on assembly, but still took 5 hours. The instructions were fairly concise considering it's made in china. The plastic glove ring holders were damaged causing the gloves to come loose. I'm still trying to get replacements which should be easier than what it is. That's something that should just be mailed to me rather than having to drive 60 miles to try to exchange them. The unit works fine for a low priced blaster. Nice red color.

Review from Product Manager at Dig IN Shallow Water Anchors
I am the product manager here at Dig IN Shallow Water Anchors ( http://DigInAnchors.com ). We purchased the Central Pneumatic 40 Lb. Capacity Floor Blast Cabinet about a month ago for ruffing up our parts before the camouflaging process for our Duck boat line. Works great. Here is a tip that we found works well. Caulk the joints during assembly. This really helps in preventing dust leaks.

Great cabinet, but...
As the old adage goes - you get what you pay for - is very true for this cabinet, however...The unit functions great. I used glass bead media and it does a great job. But my gripe has to do with a few minor details the instructions do not address so I will add them and save you some heartache.1. The light is too dim. The light provided is 12v fluorescent. If you use this in a shop with overhead lights or use it outdoors you will find it very challenging seeing what you are blasting. So I had a 12v LED light strip kit sitting around and I installed it inside the cabinet and that solved the problem.2. Use caulking or silicon. The media is so fine that even a pin-sized hole will leak. Primarily at the bottom. So it is best to put a bead of silicon along each seam in the collection tank and especially at the little box at the bottom along the edges.3. Dust. If you do not have a dust collector and use this thing indoors it will not take long for it to fill your workspace with a cloud of fine glass particles. I think if you put some type of filter element in the hole at the backside of the unit (making sure to allow it to breathe) then it will cut down on the dust significantly.Aside from these few extra steps you have a pretty decent unit for the price. My thoughts are this - if you need a cabinet to get you started then this is perfect.

Look elsewhere
I’ll start with the positiveBig window for easy view of what’s in the cabinet. Now the badIt’s a pain to assemble yourself. The hardware that comes with is incredibly cheap and the screws strip easily. Most of the holes 75% or so didn’t align and were too small for the screws so I had to drill the holes bigger. The box arrived and looked undamaged but the panel had cosmetic damage and some structural damage the rear panel was bent and had to be bent back in place. 3/4 of the plastic feet were broken and un-useable. The latch mounting holes are too far from the door, closing the latch requires the might of Zeus. Amongst all of this it doesn’t come with a hookup for an air compressor so I had to go to the hardware store and buy more parts to make it functional. If I were to buy another blasting cabinet I would spend the extra money on something else.
