Great and easy hair cut option
What a game changer! My two year old is non-verbal and does not like getting his hair cut, we would get to the barber and it was a screaming fit each time. For the first time ever my son has a cute little boys hair cut that looks nice on him and it was done while he played. This worked great on his hair and was so easy to use. We highly recommend and will encourage others to also purchase this wonderful product!

actually worth every penny to help your child feel better
wow am i surprised at how good these worked ! my son struggled so bad with getting hair cuts and i was always holding off so in the end it would take longer well i just got these today ! and it was time for a hair cut , never cut hair before ! but wow they did a fabulous job, they really didn’t make noise other than vibrate and he thought it was funny ! easy to hold not heavy at all and super safe for when they move around a lot , they are all around perfect ! i got the big set too with the scissors and super easy to use as well for top and front.

The best creation known to mankind
I have nothing but amazing things to say about these haircut clippers. I wish I had known about these sooner! My son is autistic and does NOT do well at a children’s hair salon. He screams the entire time and will put up a huge fight. It’s honestly a terrible experience, not due to the salon itself but because the noise is too much for him. When I received these in the mail, I immediately tried them out because I was curious to know if they were as good as they sounded, and they are! My son hardly noticed me cutting his hair and the results were beautiful. I highly recommend trying these as they have been a huge life saver to any parent who is struggling to get their child’s haircut. My suggestion would also be to let your child see the kit and what’s inside to help them understand it’s not dangerous. I let me son touch the clipper scissors (while they were closed) just so he knew what I would be doing with them. It also helped that he was watching YouTube as a distraction.*On a side note, when I also received my kit, one of the clippers were missing, but when I reached out directly to them they instantly took care of my problem and sent me the one I was missing along with an extra safety scissor.*

Clipper YES. Scissors, not so much.
I got the Hero combo. The clippers worked really well, much quieter than regular clippers, and my autistic sons got used to them faster than expected. They’re also much lighter and easy to handle than I expected. I was disappointed that the scissors barely cut, though. They were actually more complicated to work with than the clippers to me. But overall the haircuts came out pretty nice!

Great clippers so far!
My order of these clippers came today and I have already used them! That being said, if anything changes with the clippers I will edit my review. These clippers are more quiet than the larger, standard clippers. They are smaller and more lightweight which makes it easier to cut my son’s hair. The fact that they don’t have a cord is also a huge pro. My son threw them on the ground and they didn’t break or anything. They only come with a few size guards. The longest being a little less than 1/2” so if you like your kids hair longer than that these probably aren’t for you. The scissors have longer guards but I haven’t tried those yet. I just wanted to let you in on my super hack for kids that struggle with hair cuts. I put my son in the bathtub and ran the water while cutting. He couldn’t hear the clippers over the water and he was busy playing with the water faucet to notice what I was doing. Complete game changer! Also the clean up was a breeze. It says you can use them on wet hair but I will only use them dry. So far great product!

Not easy to use
So if you're a hairdresser and have children that don't move their heads a lot when you cut their hair this product is for you! However, if your child has moderate to sever ASD and doesn't like hair cuts this product IS NOT AS EASY AS THE VIDEOS AND MARKETING PORTRAY!! For one, you need to really look at the attachments and numbers. Start out with the largest number. The 2 makes hair very short. I mean to the scalp. It takes one unexpected movement of your childs head and you've cut off a chunk of hair to the scalp. You can still hear this scissors. They say they're quiet but you can hear the cut. So I ended up having to shave son's (as in my twins) hair because their hair was so patchwork looking. One of my sons even did better with his head being shaved then this kit. Now I am not saying this kit wouldn't work. I think it's misleading to make it seem like it's great for sensory children though. My son's would not wear the cape as they don't like something that tight around their necks, they would not wear they halo, and they felt every movement in their hair. This is why I am giving it 3 stars. All that being said. If your kids are Atypical and can sit still this is a perfect kit for a mom who has cut their child's hair already several times. It is a sturdy product and an innovative idea. I think it's a great kit to use at home and save money over time and forego the trips to the salon. My advice to fellow ASD parents is if your child has moderate to severe Autism it will possibly take time for them to get use to this system. Also, start out with the largest number because you can always go smaller if need be. I hope this helps.
