New knob fits and orientation in proper.

Fits extremely loosely
Seems like a decently constructed knob, but only time will tell. But the knob fits our dryer very loosely. It is a part number pulled directly from the GE website, so unless the wrong one was shipped, it is the correct part. The new knob allows about 2” of travel in both directions making it difficult to determine what setting the dryer is on.Update: knob broke after 5 months of use.

Works perfect. Looked up the manufacturer. It showed a picture of the knob. Turned my knob over and it had the same 4 circles on the back, so I bought it. Cheaper than the store that I had purchased the dryer from and I didn’t have to waste time or money driving to the store. Great deal
