Really awesome hearing protection
Tried these out for the first time on a tour in January. They held up great and absolutely did their job!If you take your time and follow the instructions on the video with the molding process everything will be just fine. Don’t settle for the first mold/seal. My left ear molded beautiful but had to remold my right ear. But just put it right back in the hot water and it molded beautifully the second time.*The key is to take your time*I can’t stress that enough. As for comfort they are okay. They fit way back in your ear canal and the rubber seems to be a little dry. They do take some getting used to put it’s not a deal breaker. The big thing for me is that they stay in the entire show and don’t break their seal or come out. I’m part of a very high energy show with lots of movement, jumping and singing and they stay in the entire time and don’t lose their seal like all other plugs I’ve tried of this type. They also do a great job of noise reduction with no ringing in my ears after a performance.Definitely a great buy and would purchase again.

The media could not be loaded. Used these at few concerts. Protection is good, sound fidelity is good, they stay in much better then the simple silicone earplugs. Was easy enough to mold and remold, just follow the tutorial. Secure through headbanging and jostling at the edge of the moshpit. But now I've really put them to test, what I really bought them for. Boris' Amplifier Worship Service, standing in front of Wata. I got vibrated. Ears were fine afterward. I could have totally normal conversations, no noticeable deafening.

Absolutely useless
The outside is moldable, but the part that actually does the main sealing is the same old terrible plugs as every other plug. Way too big wont fit at all

Good plugs which can be made great with a couple tweaks
After discovering that the triple flange Eargasm plugs hurt my ears after a couple hours, I gave these a shot.I love the custom mold. Follow the directions and they come out pretty good without too much trouble. However, I found the noise filters lacking. Not enough noise reduction and the filters let too much bass through for me (motorcycle riding with loud pipes.) Additionally, the same rubber style triple flange also bothered my ears after 1-2 hours.Fortunately for these there is a simple fix. Swap out the plugs with memory foam buds (ones that fit 5-6mm post) and comfort issue solved! But there was still the issue of the filters. I tried swapping the eargasm filters in but they were way to big. So I took a shot and ordered the Eargasm "smaller" filters and lo and behold if they weren't almost an exact match in size and shape to these! Swapped out the filters in seconds and now I have both noise reduction, frequency response, and comfort I was looking for!I can hear my helmet speakers and traffic around me without going deaf from wind and exhaust. Took a few tweaks, but these solved my problem!

Most comfortable hearing protection I’ve owned.
Don’t let others dissuade you about the custom fit. If you follow the instructions, you will not be disappointed. I wear these for work daily as well as at concerts and I honestly forget I’m wearing them. I’ve tried at least two other filtered earplugs from other manufacturers and can honestly say the Decibullz are where it’s at. They filter enough sound to protect your hearing and you don’t find yourself talking louder just to communicate with others. Note: The manufacturer warns against leaving them in the sun - they aren’t kidding! The earplugs will misshape but you can reform them by following the initial fitting process.

Not likely to stay put if you move your jaw while wearing
Love the custom fit,not thrilled that they tend to wiggle loose while I play the bagpipe

Solid concept, poor execution and value
The idea of a custom molded ear plug was very light intriguing to me so I thought despite the $40 price tag it was worth a shot. Directions were easy enough to follow although it took a couple rounds of heating them to get them just right. The plug that entered the ear canal was small and slightly uncomfortable. When testing them with loud live music they did not cut enough of the sound to protect my ears. There was a almost unrecognizable difference between with and without them. My ears hurt after only a few mins of wearing them from sound exposure. These were supposed to be the high fidelity plugs for this purpose. Luckily Amazon allowed the return and I was able to buy two pairs of etymotics for the same price, which work wonderfully. Would not recommend this product, all hype and does not deliver

Lowers the decibel level and still lets you hear the music
I play saxophone (front row seat) in a 17 piece jazz band (trumpets and trombones right behind me). One venue in which we play is a long, narrow room with low ceiling and glass wall behind the band. Acoustically awful. The other ear protectors I had were nearly useless for cutting the volume. I bought these with the instruction they could be molded to the ear and really seal out sound, so the only sound coming through would be titrated through the filter in the middle of the protector.I was skeptical, but should not have been. Once I followed the instructions and fitted them to my earlobe/canal, they were comfortable and really did the job of noise reduction. I came home from my first gig with them and didn’t have ringing in my ears like I had with the other plugs. They are excellent and I would definitely recommend them to other musicians.
