Love the packaging! And the sound is great too! We attached it to our $50 Kindle and it really amplified the volume. Even when we had it turned up it wasn't muffled.It took a few button pushing to figure out how to operate the Bluetooth and non Bluetooth features but that's okay 'cause I like not having so many buttons.The four instead of five stars is because the audio cable and the USB cable were too short, imo. I had to buy longer cables. The length of the cables weren't listed in the features details.

The speaker itself is pretty good quality, I just got it yesterday and set it up. I got this to give my Dot some decent quality sound. Nothing great (temper your expectations, its $20), but several steps above the dot's speaker.FIRST Regarding Bluetooth: the speaker will cut off the first second or so of any audio output from the Echo Dot, if you're using bluetooth instead of an aux cable (which is included, btw). Presumably this is because of a power-save feature that turns off receiving whenever no audio is detected, even for pauses less than a second. If you're *just* listening to music it shouldn't be a big deal because the music is constantly filling the air, but for voice commands, Alexa's responses get clipped at the beginning and in the middle of sentences.SECOND regarding power: This speaker does NOT include a power supply, but it does include a USB cable. So if you have an extra wall socket-to-USB plug, you'll be fine. A little unfortunate though, because...THIRD regarding AUX interference: the aux cable (included, as well as spares I have) will pick up slight interference, but this is not noticeable when the speaker's volume is not all the way up. HOWEVERRRRRR If you have a USB wall plug with multiple USB ports (I have one from IKEA), and both the speaker and the Dot use it as a power source, you will get some MAJOR interference, most likely because the USB and aux ports on both devices are right next to each other. Again, not an issue if you're using bluetooth.So be sure, if you plan to use an aux cable to connect to a dot, that you ALSO get a USB wall power supply that is separate from the Dot's.

This is a great little speaker. I'm not a high tech person; but the sound is great and totally suits my needs. I use it with my Echo Dot.Update: I bought this speaker a few months ago and I really loved it. I loved it so much I bought one for a family member who is a high tech person. He loves his speaker which he uses with his laptop. Then one day, mine stopped working. I called the company and they shipped a new speaker out the next day. This is amazing customer service! I am very pleased with the product and the company.

It was a gift for my mother and she loved it. She premiered it at a reunion we had at her house and it complied perfectly. It comes precharged, so as soon as it was taken out of its packaging, turned it on without connecting it and put the music at a medium volume, enough to allow us to talk. The design "Black Galaxy" looks good as part of the decoration so it is another pros. I am very happy with the purchase and I would definitely buy it again.The only limitation would be for those looking for speakers to use it in very high volume. In those cases I suggest looking for another option because this product is not designed for it and although it can raise it quite lose quality in sound.
