I was a little skeptical about getting this at first because the price seemed a bit too much. Most of my reasoning was because I had never used a recorder before unless it was on my phone. The packaging was very well done. I was SUPER surprised at how good the quality of the playback was on it. I whispered to see if it could catch it and it did!! Its super easy to use and super easy to start and stop recording. The size is perfect and can probably fit anywhere you need to fit it in.

Unit works fine and is very small and portable. Unfortunately, we found two drawbacks. First, the unit is physically very slick. Both my wife and I dropped the recorder at some point while handling. Sadly, I dropped it while repackaging it to be returned. The display glass shattered, so I now have a new, unexpected MP3 player. DRATS! Second (and the reason for the intention to return), the "sensitive mics" are a little too sensitive. I was trying to use this devise to record my country band's rehearsals. Even when using the Zero gain setting, the recorder was overwhelmed and clipped BADLY. Overall, it's a wonderfully small and very usable devise. Takes a while to figure out all of the settings as the manual is just about useless. However, recording and saving tracks is very simple thanks to the red, sliding button on the right side of the case. It would work fine for it's intended purpose of spoken word recording. That said, don't expect high-fidelity recorded sound under any circumstances. This is, in every way, an inexpensive digital recorder.

I like that it's very compact. Also, it took very little time to learn how to use the different features. I am a chef and tend to try new recipes, this has voice activation, so I don't have to worry about going over and pushing buttons while I'm cooking, but am still ability to dictate a new recipe into this recorder. If you are at all like me and love to come up with new recipes, this is perfect!The sound quality is what I expected and though I know I could dictate into my phone my phone doesn't have voice activation so it will just record a lot of useless cooking noises. Also, by using this recorder I don't have to worry about draining the battery on my phone either.It would also work well for classrooms or meetings. It is so small and unobtrusive it fits perfectly in a purse or computer bag.As an added bonus you can download music to it. It has a good memory capacity so you can keep some music on it and still record meeting notes.As far as a digital recorder goes this is one of the best you will find for this price point.

Quality is good for entry level recording, good for recording for taking notes. And has good enough speakers for listening to the play back. Was expecting it to be bigger but good enough for a handheld system. Also the microphone on top cannot be moved to optimal recording dimension but useful non the less.

I bought this for my husband so that he could record himself playing guitar or fiddle and then play along with the recording with the other instrument. However, he had trouble getting it to work right. It would work for a little while then cut off. It was difficult to navigate back and forth between recording and playback. He ended up downloading an app on his phone that accomplished the same thing, but was much more user friendly. I'm giving it 2 stars because I know he is not the most technologically advanced person, but still it should have been easier to operate.

I love this product especially all the cool features that comes with this recording device, it weighs in very well so its not made cheap,has easy one step recording and 3 awesome recording speakers with one nice size output speaker to hear your recordings or music..i will recommend this voice recorder to all my friends...

Still haven't figured out how to use the voice activation feature. The instructions don't mention it.

I got this because my 10 month old daughter is entertained by the sound of her own voice. It came within great time. Let me tell you, this thing is CLEAR!!! She hears herself and starts babbling back! The battery is pretty great, charges well, it’s also easy to use!
