Surfstrand 1x7 is made of corrosion resistant, spring temper stainless steel. Compared to our competitor’s old style 1x3 construction, Surfstrand’s 1x7 construction offers higher break strength and more realistic action. The wire is specially stranded to deliver superior kink resistance, and the high strength of stainless makes this an excellent wire for leaders, lures, and trolling. Attach Surfstrand using crimping sleeves and crimping pliers or tie with a Figure 8 Knot.

I have used nylon coated wire and had problems with corrosion when the nylon coat is punctured. I think the corrosion is caused because the salt that is under the nylon coat cannot be rinsed off. Eventually the wire breaks at the corrosion, I think because the corrosion is due to chloride stress. The bare wire can be rinsed clean of the salt and so far I haven't had corrosion or wire breakage.

Stranded wire is the way to go! The coffee color is perfect for fewer bite offs due to glare of uncolored wire

The standard light cable. No need to crimp, even a granny knot holds.
I use this for toothy species. It will kink after a fish or two, but it's cheap and easy enough to re-tie a new rig. Easier to manage than single strand IMO.

Sehr eng verdrallt. Haltbare, braune Beschichtung.An die Twizzler unter euch: das Vorfach muss im Stile des "haywire twist" (googlen) verarbeitet werden, sonst rutscht es durch. Das Wichtigste ist der erste Teil der Wicklung, der muss mit Kraft erfolgen und soll auch ruhig länger sein.
