I've used this microphone for over a month and a half and feel confident in recommending it to anyone looking for a high quality, affordable standalone microphone! It's simple to use and true to the photos with a large mute button that has a color changing LED to show you when the mic is active, a highly flexible but decently ridged neck, and only requires you to plug it in then set up the mic as your default with clear instructions included in the box. It also comes with an optional extended warranty if you send in an email to the email address on the included pamphlet! The only thing that would make this microphone better would be a foam covering over the mic, but this can easily be done with a spare piece of foam to guard against damage and loud pops.I've included a microphone test as a part of my review, which goes through unedited and edited voice samples. I am a part-time voice actor and gamer, so using a microphone that is high quality is very important to me. I feel that even with unedited voice recordings this mic is phenomenal! My friends have said that my voice sounds excellent when speaking over Discord, Skype, and Google Hangouts, and this microphone's setup time was nearly 0 for me. I have no doubt that this microphone will provide years of quality service to me and I would absolutely purchase from CMTECK again!

I am extremely impressed with this little device. I've been looking around for PC Mic that would be plug and play to my PC for dictation of work documents and emails. The standard internal Mic wouldn't cut it and garbled all my words. With my prior experience of other microphones they have had issues with correctly translating my voice to text. I plug this in and after following the instruction provided in the packaging, I had the computer responded to all of my voice commands properly. This little microphone has actually opened up a new world of functions from my PC to me. I recommend this item to anyone looking for a dictation microphone or PC chat desktop computer Mic. It works great. I have used it for Webex/Cisco/GoToMeeting/LogMeIn meetings primarily, and for Dragon speech recognition secondarily. The mute button is particularly helpful for both applications. If I don't want the 3rd party to listen for a moment, I can mute the microphone rather than have to remember where to find the mute button in all the separate webinar apps. Additionally, in Dragon, I avoided having to purchase a ~400 handset with a dedicated "start-stop" button - I can leave Dragon "listening" and simply mute the microphone. This also saves delays with Dragon "waking up."

The issue I have with this mic is it flashes green when it is "working." Well, as soon as you plug it into the Playstation and it's recognized, it's working, so it is ALWAYS blinking green while the PS4 is on.

Easy plug and play desktop microphone, but does tend to either:1) pick up bumps and other various noises around the area or2) needs to be set at a lower level and have me lean in a little bit.

The microphone I used to use broke a few days ago, and the mic on my headphone(Hyper X Could II) is kind of hard to use. I have to place the mic on my lips otherwise my friends can't hear me.After getting this mic, my friend can hear me better and louder which is what I'd expect from it. The base is heavier than it looks, so it doesn't fall over. Price is reasonable, and the mic looks good.Def will buy this again IF it fails to function.

Easy setup, just plug in and Windows does the rest. The constantly flashing green LED is a little annoying. So I put a spot of black electrical tape over it and problem solved.

Great microphone, it’s a good value for someone getting into PC gaming and doesn’t want to drop a lot of cash on a mic. Only thing I can think of that could be better is my mic always shows it is active when I’m using it, like even when I’m not talking an app like discord will show that I’m talking. Dunno if that’s specific to the one I received or not, but my friend owns the next model up of this, with the volume control, and he doesn’t experience that. In all though, it’s pretty good.
