I love these type of straight razor! I like the tight fit and the balance of the razor. I opened it and balanced it on top of my finger to see if it was balanced. It was good. I like the feel and the blades were ok. You can get better blade but nothing to bad about the one they sent. I saw a complaint that the blades went dull fast. Do you try to use them over and over? These usually are one and done. I will use more the once if I’m just edging myself but other that I’m good. Hope this helps and hopefully this product stays at a 5 for me.

Love it for the price works great, looks better then just the boring silver, and the case is awesome for travel. I use it on clients and a lot of people were saying the blades dull quick which you're supposed to change out the blade after every use on clients. You can stretch it if you're only using it on yourself for two or possibly three uses but the blades aren't meant for that.

It’s a nice design... after you bend it to hold the razors. I cut my cheek on the first stroke thanks to the blade slipping out (and by the looks of it that little cut will become a scar).So you’d think “once the frame is bent and can hold the razor I can finally shave; quick fix.” Well no actually, the razors are quite dull; I re-applied lather and shaved with and against the grain six times and still have stubble (Harry’s protected razors cut closer than that in one round with the grain).The reason I give it 2 stars as opposed to 1 is they give you the case, a nice handle design, and extra razors (although all the razors are dull so that’s sort of a backfire).((I’ll give them credit though, this is my second straight edge razor so Incase the first few razors were dull or I haven’t adjusted to this type of straight edge, I’ll delete this review and compose a new one summarizing my experience)).

The blade holder is unable to hold a blade tight as it come out of the box. With some judicious bending and adjusting it will work. The handle is nice wood and the finish on the metal is good. In short this is not shave ready but with a bit of work it came be pretty nice.

Great starting kit to any guy out there who is looking for a much less expensive alternative to safety razors, or simply looking to start using something a whole lot more masculine and dangerous than the average dude. Razor itself has a very natural and manly look to it, with the wood scale and matte black blade, and is well balance and feels good in hand. The blades that come with aren’t top quality, but will still give you a nice shave. My personal reason for buying this was because I was tired of blowing a ton of money in Gillette razors while they rant to the world about how toxic masculinity is, and wanted something that had everything I needed (except cream and aftershave of course). Took a little getting used to, but after two shaves I began to love it. It has became a part of my routine, and is almost as beneficial for mental relaxation as it is for keeping my face lookin fresh.

So the razor is alright, it doesn't have the same problem everyone else is having with the blade falling out. However, the screw holding the metal piece to the wooden handle comes loose and sometimes falls out. Needing constant adjustments or screw stabilizing fluid. The lever to hold the two blade holding pieces is very flimsy and I almost broke it off while messing with it, aluminum for sure. The metal for the blade holder is solider but the black color is painted on, so consistent use has worn away at the color. The wood handle is nice and hasn't worn at all, which is nice but it isn't disinfectable.Balance of the razor itself is solid. Moderate weight and we'll balanced weight between the wooden handle and metal razor.

For the price of this razor you get what you pay for. It comes with 100 blades which is nice but they get very dull quickly. It’s cheaply made but what do you expect with something that’s 14 bucks. I wouldn’t invest in this product again. I rather pay a better amount and get something from art of shaving. Also this blade can give you razor burn easily so be careful. It gets 2 stars because the packaging is cool and it has 100 blades.

I got this for my son in law who hated to have to go to the barber shop every 2 weeks for a touch up. once I he got this he was so excited to use it. he loves and now uses it every week instead of waiting on his barber.
