The. Best.
I am so thankful I have this machine! I previously have owned a bunch of smaller air purifiers to help with the smell of dogs per a realtor’s suggestion. I moved into the country and into a home I started remodeling and my allergies went bananas! I was coughing and sneezing so I plugged in my little ones but they were not large enough to do anything.I started doing a ton of research and this was a consumer reports top 10 (#2). I tried this one and the coway airmega 250. This one was hands down the winner. My dogs come running in and kick up dirt, it turns on and helps clean air. Contractors are here working and making a dusty mess, it turns on. I love the app to monitor the filter lifer and air quality.I love this so much, I went to Allen’s website to register my unit and saw they had a whole house promotion so I bought it and basically have a unit in every room. My coughing has subsided, my sneezing is better and my sleep app shows I am snoring less. The aesthetic of this unit is awesome and it is quiet too. I am so pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this everyone I know!

Works great on marijuana smoke! (plus lots of other stuff)
I'll get to why I knocked a star off my review in a minute (check out my update at the bottom, back to 5 stars). Just know, this thing is amazing! I wouldn't call it a great value, but it's worth every single penny. We have 4 dogs in a single story open design of about 1250 square feet. I instantly noticed a huge improvement in air quality within a short time after turning it on! The auto function works amazingly well. It will be sitting there on it's lowest fan speed, having successfully cleaned the air all day/night. The little blue circle indicator light tells you your air is currently at it's cleanest. I'll light up a joint about 20' from the purifier and within a minute or so I'll notice the fan speed crank up to its fullest! (It's still super quiet though, even on its highest you can't hear it with a TV on) Red indicator light! Then purple! It tells me right away that my air has been polluted and it's working to fix it. Within 20 or 30 minutes, the whole house is completely smoke and scent free! It's perfect for all you well-to-do stoners such as myself. You make good money, you have nice things, you're a grown up now! You don't want other adults coming over to your marijuana smoke filled house. Especially all your friends with kids. Or maybe you have kids? What kind of an example are you setting!? Opening the windows on a nice day only does so much. And if you have cold winters and can't open the windows, what then? You buy this thing ya dummy. All those problems will be solved.I knocked off a star because my wife is making me return it. She doesn't like how it looks. I don't think it's terrible. It's the great air purifier paradox: In order for it to work well it's needs to be out in the open, but to be out in the open it needs to not look stupid. There's a lot of air purifiers that I passed over based on looks alone. This one I was on the fence about, the color choice of the panel helped push me over. I'm going to add a picture to this review. If you agree with me and think it's looks not that terrible, leave me a comment! Or if you're wrong and agree with my wife's decision to return it, please don't let me know.Anyway, you can turn off the panel lights by pressing the big colorful button in the middle while it's running. That's obviously nice if you're gonna use this in a bedroom. It'd be nice if you could turn the panel lights on and off without having to turn the entire unit off. Seems like an unnecessary power cycle just to adjust the lights. But hey, it's got a lifetime warranty so who cares if it breaks from excessive power cycles!Long story longer - I'm going to have a hard time replacing this with something else, especially with how well it works. The bar is set REALLY high for cleaning the air in my house now after owning this thing for only a few days. I'm addicted to the fresh air. I work from home and spend a lot of time here. It feels really nice. I will caveat this entire review and say this is the first air purifier I've ever owned. Maybe they all do pretty well? Most of the major players have good reviews. I think it comes down to aesthetics when you spend this much. We don't have a ton of space in our house, so this thing has to sit right out in the open for everyone to wonder and ask what it is. It has to look good. I'll admit that it's not the sexiest. Unfortunately, function over form is losing this battle to form over function this time.P.S. - what maniac thought purple was the right color to indicate your air quality is at its worse!? Why would red indicate the second worst air quality?? Is there some standardized air pollution color rating system that I'm just not aware of?****Update 2 weeks in, back to a 5 star review****OK, we tried to replace this unit with a different, more aesthetically pleasing purifier. We tried the Coway AirMega 400. It looks great, covers a similar square footage, and has even better features than this Alen 75i unit....but it flat out just didn't work as well. It was also MUCH louder. With this Alen 75i unit in the same exact position as the Coway AirMega, the air was noticeably cleaner and smell free. Also, on it's loudest setting the 75i is hardly noticeable with a TV on. The Coway AirMega was at least 4 or 5x louder on it's loudest setting...to the point where you didn't want to run it on it's highest setting unless you weren't home.We tried this unit in a few different positions around the house, some out of the way where it didn't work as well, and now in it's new spot (different from the pictures I posted) and it's seriously great! My wife isn't thrilled with the spot we landed on, but it works really well and isn't as bad as she once thought. Seems that function over form has come through to win in the end!

Works wonders for my allergies
I bought one of the for my bedroom and then another for my family room a month later. I have bad allergies and these are amazing. I don’t wake up in the morning with headaches and stuffy nose anymore.

Amazing. Simply Amazing
I live in Texas. This year my allergies have been off the charts. My medications were not helping much. I bought this air filter based on a friends recommendation. In talking to the Alen 75i customer service, he said it would take about a week before I would see positive results. I installed this air cleaner in my bedroom last night and got the best night sleep I have had in three weeks. I like this filer so much, i just purchased a second one, dedicated to be just in my bedroom. If you suffer from allergies, I strongly suggest, you get this filter and enjoy clean air.

Review .
Help to purify the air in our house. Needs to have an operation and code to understand the system. It is printed on the box but once that is recycled the information is gone.

Very quiet..not very noisy, even on turbo
Love that it's much quieter than my small Honeywell. I can sleep with it on. I also love the auto mode which changes the speed as air quality changes. I had burned oil in my oven [terrible fumes] and I opened all windows and doors for a good while..but turbo mode cleared the fumes which remained in a half hour or so. This, imho, is a good product.

Excellent machine (by far) but little warranty
First of all, this (75i) is an excellently designed and manufactured air purifier; its good features have been discussed by other reviewers so there is no need for me to repeat. I just want to add one comment: its internal sensor is sensitive to water droplets as well as real dirt in the air; therefore, the mist from a humidifier triggers a "purple" easily. This can wake you up in midnight if you leave it in auto mode. Nevertheless, I would still give it five stars if there weren't the problem discussed below. The major issue which made me consider returning it is that, for Canadian buyers, there is virtually NO WARRANTY at all! Alen does not provide any warranty - no even 1 year - for units purchased through amazon.ca, which is the only place we Canadians can buy it from. iTech Canada, seller on amazon.ca, only provides a 30-day return policy. Therefore, if your unit breaks down on the 31st day, you are totally on your own. In addition, the so called "forever warranty" is only available to buyers in the 48 contiguous states in the USA, and is NONEXISTENT for Canadians. All of the above frustrating information is not available on amazon.ca at all! You don't get it until you buy a unit and research on your own. So, go ahead to buy it if you are willing to take chance, like what I did; otherwise, stay away from it.
