Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been away! The height is 38 inches when fully open.

I use personally standard green bags for recycling cause I obviously use this bin for recycling. You can easily use smaller ones though like 20litres or 30 litres I reckon. Regards, Andy.

This depends on which bags you buy. If you get black bin liners then yes unless you spend a while tucking it all in.
