Parrot Cage (Rainforest Cages) Fabulous Ecquador Antique Finish

Bought to replace a six year old Rainforest Ecu' (African Grey) cage this one arrived unopened and without external damage.The construction of the cage is not as per the one pictured, later investigation proved there are two current versions of the same cage. One has horizontal bars that go the full width of each panel. Ours had them stop half an inch short creating a panel high gap at the edge of each section. This has sharp edges which any bird can easily get at.The construction of the cage is flimsy, uses thinner grade material and consolidated into fewer panels than the older (6 years) version of the same cage.Sadly our had factory damage that had missed inspection. A door hinge was rusty and the powder coating had flaked off the whole hinge. Other areas had the same issue. This allowed us to see the depth of the powder coating and as any bird owner will know fruit acids will find this too! A very light powder coat not up to the job let alone the under rust.Several panels were lightly dented but this was not an issue that affected their performance.As soon as we found the rust and powder coat flaws we gave the whole unit a good going over and found at least ten areas of sharp burrs you would not want any bird to go near. As these are covered with the light powder coating making good is not an option!A conversation with the seller revealed the item was shipped direct and not inspected so other potential buyers may like to ask prior to purchase.Item was returned and the seller was great in refunding the full purchase price.Our Grey will now be housed in a made to measure alloy and stainless steel cage at only 50% more cost.

Delivery delayed one day, but it's great item, quality and design is brilliant. Worth all the money I payed. Thank you.

arrived on time my parrot loves it! instructions not very clear. and seed catcher is quite flimsy.

at first sight i thought this cage would be too small for my african grey (my fault not good with measurements)but not too worried now as he loves it ,excellent made ,sturdy locks ,my parrott could undo his doors on other cage and was always escaping ,well worth the money keep up the good work thanks

I bought this cage for my 2 cockatiels as the one they are in now isn't very big. I ordered it on the Monday and it was here by Wednesday, which I thought was brilliant. When the cage came, I was suprised at vague the instructions were, it didn't give you a step by step guide, which was quite annoying because it was guessing and then realising it was on the wrong way etc. The cage also had some alignment issues, so now we have bolts sticking out. The tray at the bottom of the cage is dent, and so is a few bars. The cage didn't come with any bolts either, so we had to use our own for the food dish doors. I'm really happy with the quickness of the cage arriving, and It is a beautiful cage. Just a shame about the few issues I had.

Looked at several parrot cages prior to this purchase this one seemed good value for money. Its very sturdy, bars are strong, straight forward to put up and a good size for my eclectus parrot which is a medium to large bird. There is a solid plate at the back of each of the food bowls therefore the food bounces off and back down into the cage keeping the floor clean and tidy. The skirt is angled so not to take up much room and again helps to keep the mess to a minimum. Its on castors so the cage is mobile however they did stick a little but I am hoping they loosen up in time. All in all I am delighted with this purchase wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cage, remembering the bigger the cage the happier the bird.

Like another buyer I am in Northern Ireland and had to pay extra shipping, however I contacted the seller in advance and found him very pleasant to deal with and we were able to agree a mutually acceptable surcharge. The cage arrived Next Working day (8pm) to N.Ireland which surprised me as it usually adds at least one extra day if not more. Unlike earlier comments from the other N.Ireland buyer I would point out to him ; At least Posh Pets will ship such large items to Northern Ireland, other Parrot Cage retailers WILL NOT.The cage is excellent quality and very heavy, solid construction over 30kg. My Amazon seems happy with it although I do not cage him, it is merely as an Emergency measure if I need anyone to come in and look after him as I am Disabled.My only negative comment on the cage is a serious one, the "skirt arrangement for collecting seed thrown from the cage" = It is secured via 2 screws on the front and back panels ONLY. The side panels only rest on the front and back. This is ok for ease of cleaning BUT ALLOWS THE SKIRT PANELS TO MOVE OUT OF PLACE EXPOSING VERY SHARP SHEER METAL CORNERS, I ONLY HAVE IT A FEW DAYS AND ALREADY IT HAS DAMAGED THE WALL PLASTER, IF YOU ARE NOT VERY CAREFUL MOVING IT THE SHARP SKIRT CORNERS DIG TRENCHES OUT OF YOUR PLASTERWORK.This may not sound important and you could say I should be more careful, ok thats fine BUT IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE I WOULD THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING THIS CAGE, IT IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO MODIFY IT BY POSSIBLY ADDING SAFETY CORNERS AND SEALER.

The cage is perfect for my African grey the only problems I had we're firstly all the instructions are in German!! And secondly it did not arrive with a perch! I contacted the seller who said he would look into this and I've never heard back
