September 11th, 2018! —- still no new firmware. On lowest setting a flying bug triggers motion essentially making it useless as security cameraTerrible camera in features. Great picture and easy setup if all you want to do is look at a video feed. If you want to actually use it as a "security" camera as most people have become used to doing this is no good. It triggers all the time and only options are low / medium / high sensitivity.I bought a foscam 2 years prior and it has continued firmware updates and allows me to block out zones or areas of movement like bushes that move with wind. This camera can't do that. Also other cameras don't trigger on shadows or light change this does on all settings. The motion trigger is so bad I have it turned off all the time. Maybe it works well if you have computer running software lie blue iris that does the motion detection but whats built into camera is terrible.Also when you search for firmware updates the model number of this camera isn't even recognized on their website. I can't find any firmware updates which is weird. Normally when you buy a product there is a least one or two with improvements.

Well the camera got clear picture but there are too many cables (5 different cable combine). I don't want to make a big hole in my wall. Setting up is easy but the video movements are slow.

I bought this camera about two weeks ago and I notice that the motion detection is way to sensitive. Also the power cord is way to short. The cd they send you to view your camera doesn’t work. The image quality is pretty good that’s about the only pros about it.

This was my 5th FDT camera, set up was easy, I had bought the PTZ ones, but I just needed a cheap bullet type camera for the front door, so I bought this, I gotta say the image quality is as good as the PTZ $150 FDT models, very well made camera, would definitely buy again

The camera has many issues. You have to set up the camera initially with the cell phone app with the camera connected to your network via an Ethernet cable. Set up was easy enough. After setting up my wifi, I mounted the camera outside overlooking my driveway. I set up the camera with my preferred settings and everything worked ok for a couple of hours. Then when I accessed the camera again, all my customized settings were gone. The worst part of it now was that I couldn't even access the camera at all. So I had to remove the camera from my overhang on the house, bring the camera back in and hook up the Ethernet cable and repeat the set up process. Changed the settings again, re-mounted the camera again, and the camera seemed to be ok. But guess what? I did the same thing again. I wasn't about to go through this tedious process again. There is no reset button on the camera. Setup has to be done via Ethernet cable. In my case I would have had to have a 50 Ft cable to reach the router. Also you cannot down load any videos from the app or from your PC. This is a live view camera only. Useless!They sent a mini cd which I assumed had the manual on it, but it doesn't even cover this model. I went to their website and no manual is listed there either. Put in a help ticket on their website, receive an acknowledgement, but no help whatsoever. I returned the camera. Still have never heard from support either.

Can be setup wireless easy on the cellphone and blue Iris FDT verygood, Amcrest 722s discasted bad
