Slim profile, strong suction vacuum sealer *SEE PIX*
Size wise, this is great. I could put this in my cutlery drawer and it fit fine. It is slim, short and packs a punch. This comes with 5 small bags but would work with any size resealable bag. Either on a roll that you process your own or purchase ready made bags. This comes with an attachable hose to put onto vacuum lids. This doesn't contain the lids or containers, but these are readily available for canister vacuum packing. The cons to this are: it is quite loud. It isn't as quiet as larger models but perhaps it is lacking sound insulation due to keeping the size down. The lid latching is a bit awkward: you have to press down on the side buttons, one at a time to get it to latch. If you try to push them both down at the same time, one won't latch and stays up. I found that the 'one at a time' method was a surefire way to get it to latch down. All of this doesn't make this NOT worth the purchase. They are just oddities that I found after using the product for a couple weeks. All in all, it vacuums very well. It fits into a drawer. The slim profile is perfect for a smaller space. The cord length is a lengthy 3' so I am able to use it at any outlet and still have cord left over for movement.I have used this to vacuum seal shredded cheese, fish, shrimp, sausages and boil in a bag meals.I tried to use this to seal a 2# package of meat that was marinating for fajitas as well. In doing this type of 'wet' task, the best thing I found is to simply push the excess air out manually and then use seal only. Not 'vacuum and seal'. The first time I did this, it sucked too much marinade out and filled the channel.I'm pleased with this, despite the oddities of the lid and the level of sound.

Keeps food fresh longer
I've been wanting a food vacuum/sealer system for a long time. I finally pulled the trigger on this cheaper system because I am just getting started in food vacuuming so I didn't want to fully invest in a more expensive unit until I'm sure that I like prepping my food in these bags. This unit is great because it is affordable and works well. It came with 5 small bags but they are big enough to fit what I needed. I usually buy large bags of chicken and have to either freeze them in big pack or cook it all or try and break them down and freeze only what I need in plastic zip lock freezer bags which I use once then throw away.I like the idea of buying in bulk then prepping my food and saving it in vacuum bags. I am also interested in the quick marinating and this unit has an external vacuum hose attachment to allow me to do that with vacuum containers.I like that this unit vacuums and seals or just seals only when I stride to just seal a bag it sealed and then the vacuum came on. I turned it off by pressing the button again but it took me by surprise. I will try again because I may have done something wrong but it did seal a chip bag perfectly. So far I've done chicken and some garlic bulbs. The garlic I am keeping at room temperature. But want to see if it stays fresh in the vacuum bag. The chicken I did a few pieces individually sealed and frozen as well as a couple pieces cut into cubes and frozen. All have turned out well and I want to see how long they last. All in all I am very happy with the unit. I am excited to see if I change my habits and stick to vacuuming my bulk food purchases.

No more freezer burn
My mom and I were searching for a vacuum sealer for a while however the ones from Wal-Mart are expensive so I looked for a vacuum sealer on Amazon instead. There were only a few in the same price range but my mom wanted a white one for the kitchen and at first it was a bit challenging to figure out how to use the machine. The provided manual has most languages and we were able to figure out how to use the machine after a few tries. After figuring it out it was simple, you just got to know where to place your hands to clamp both sides down then just press vacuum seal and let it do its thing. It sucks around 97% of the air out which was great and before sealing it would need to be dried so that the seal will be flawless. I Sous Vide the steak after sealing and the water did not get in after 2 hours of Sous Viding @137° which was fantastic. They provided 5 sealing bag which was great!Watch the video for a better visualization of the process, do note that the whole process was around 90 seconds, I cut parts that were unnecessary.

For the money that I paid I am 100% satisfied. I did buy rolls of bags to make
After reading so many mind boggling reviews, I decided to purchase this. It does exactly what it says!! I went on a sealing spree (all in one sitting) when this arrived. I did 4 steaks, 4 extra thick pork chops, untold amounts of chicken thighs (4 family packs) 4 chicken legs (the thigh and the leg) I used my veg. slicer and did peppers and zucchini and I did 5 ears of corn still in the FULL husk (I microwave these!) There were a few missed seals where it did not vacuum out 100% of the air, I just re-did it. Overall 97.8% of all I sealed was 100% vacuumed correctly. The others were partially, it will still stave off freezer burn for a bit. I did get some "juice" from the meat and "water" from the veg's in the little try inside. I wiped that out and the next time tried to increase the bag size or more to the point the distance of space between the the seal and the item. For the money that I paid I am 100% satisfied. I did buy rolls of bags to make. I do like the ability to make custom sizes (ears of corn) but it got old fast (making them) based on the amount that I sealed in one sitting. I may buy more pre-made bags. DO NOT be afraid to purchase this- for the price it is worth it and I have no complaints what so ever!! Happy Customer!!!
