OcarinaWind"Sound of Mountain" 12 Hole Tenor Ocarina Strawfire Craft Ocarina,Alto C

I wanted this to add to my little collection of weird and wonderful instruments! I like collecting them, learning to play them and using them when devising theatre pieces. This was just the kind of high quality I was looking for in an instrument. It came in a lovely little carry case with a cheap but useful neck strap to wear when playing and a great little book of songs and directions for playing your Ocarina. It makes a stunning sound, like wind whistling through the trees and when played well sounds haunting and beautiful.

Fabulous sounding instrument! the lower keys are all in great tune, although the higher notes seem to be flat; could be down to technique though! The main reason for three stars is that when it arrived one of the subholes hadn't been worked all the way through - nothing that a needle couldn't fix but took me a while to figure out why it was so out of tune! It's far better than a cheap zelda designed ocarina but the high notes need n exteremely large ammount of breath pressure to sound in tune! I don't know if this is my technique or the instrument however.

Sound interesting. Need to learn more.
