Bluetooth range 30-100' less if signal must penetrate thru walls. As advertised
This is the 3rd Raticator that I have purchased. I have had good luck with the other 2 and have them in my shed and garage to keep any mice population to a minimum They are placed outside in dry weather to keep the chipmunk down as well and they have worked really well. This unit is the new blue tooth model and I was curious as to how it would work. Its no problem to set up. Just download the app for it at the app store and follow very simple instructions and its up and running. The biggest disappointment is that the signal range is advertised at between 30-100' which is quite accurate. It's closer to 30' or even less if the signal needs to go thru a wall, which in my case it does. For me, thus, I cannot use the blue tooth feature. I did notice one other change on this newest model. It now runs on 4 AA size batteries. It remains to be seen if it can still take out as many critters as the earlier models using 4 D cells did. Nonetheless, I believe this is the best unit available, having tried others over the years..........

Will keep watching for version 3!
Long time customer of Raticator, formerly Rat Zapper. My existing units are now about ten years old so it was time to replace them. Really liked the idea that they connect to your phone via Bluetooth & was willing to spend extra money for that feature. Sadly, nothing worked well with these units. I called Raticator directly & was treated as if I were bothering them. Bluetooth only worked if I were within 10' of the unit rendering it a useless feature. At the cost of the unit, I couldn't see keeping it when it didn't perform as promised & returned. If they can ever get this to work as envisioned, I'll again be a customer. I sincerely hope they resolve their problems.

Absolutely useless
I have used the trap extensively and on multiple occasions seen a rat go in and the zapper go of, followed by the rate walking out of the trap again, seemingly happy to have had a harmless massage.

Must have WiFi for notification, but doesn’t affect the killing potency!!
Best mouse traps ever!!! Recommend to anyone with a rodent problem!!

Very good product
I like this unit. Works well. No mess with peanut butter and the other styles of traps.

Disappointed - cannot recommend Bluetooth version.
I use the original Raticator and thought having the Bluetooth notification would be great but the app keeps crashing and could never pair the device. Couldn't get any support or fix. Very disappointing - but I do recommend the original.
