It works outside on patio and it works good on smooth surfaces. My cats can only play with it outside because my home is 90% carpet. But my cats like and that’s why I rated it5 stars. They have a lot of toys they don’t play with at all.

I bought a red one and a green one. The red one just went in circles out of the box. I then discovered that one of the rubber coverings on the wheel was askew so I realigned it. It still doesn't work well though. It still pulls to the right & when it detects an object, it backs up and starts going in circles. Also, the battery dies in about 15 minutes. TrashThe green one works great. It does everything the description says. It goes pretty much straight until it detects an object and then it backs up and changes direction. It keeps my kitties attention and the battery life is great. I have 3 cats and I wish I had 2 working toys, but I don't want to risk buying another dud.

It's realistic looking when slithering back and forth on the floor. Put black tape over eyes and scare your family and friends. Has censor that keeps it from running into stuff but it does still sometimes get stuck. It doesn't go on carpet at all either. Other than that cute. Comes with charger.

I know it’s a cat toy, but my kid asked for “a pretend snake that has a button and it moves all over the place all crazy by itself” and that’s exactly what this does! She loves it and I can imagine a cat would, too, lol. It’s actually quite cool, you turn it on and it slithers around, when it gets near something it backs away and spins, not gonna lie, I enjoy watching it slither around, too lol!

My cat loved it,and he's very picky, but It it only worked for about 12 hours. Very poor quality.

At first my kitten was a little startled by the snake - the wheels are a little loud - but after a few sessions playing with it, she loves the snake and will even try pulling it out of her toy bin on her own.It's really nice to have something remote and battery-operated for my kitten to safely take out her hunting instincts on. I love that she can also catch and "kill" the snake, and then release it to chase it some more, so she can essentially cycle through the whole hunting process on her own. It's very healthy for her.My one caveat is that one the wheels on the snake got stuck because there's a bunch of hair caught in it, and there isn't an easy way for me to clean it since the space is too tight for me to reach with my hands or a tool, and to access the wheel more directly would require a very small screwdriver I don't own. So I just let the snake run on one wheel and it's fine, my kitten still gets a lot of play out of it.I definitely recommend this toy for cats that have a lot of energy.

Jasper liked this however it would either stop or flip over on some sort of a floor transition. Like from tile to thin rug. The motor isn't strong enough to maintain and the wheels don't show much at all to allow for height. If Jasper swatted too hard, it would flip. It would, I imagine, be better for larger tiled areas where it can do it's thing.

Let me be honest, our cat has absolutely no interest in this thing what so ever. Our 4 year old was completely infatuated with this thing though. It does exactly as they said, it slithers, it's eyes light up, and it stops randomly and then creepily starts moving if you get near it. It's very plastic and a bit chincy, but it entertains so I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
