Zoku Ice Mould, Multi-Colour

Fun but also practical. These moulds produce nice big, round ice balls. Working on the principle that a sphere has the least surface area for its volume of any shape, ice balls cool your drinks with the minimum dilution. The alternative of producing a cube or round section of ice and placing in a press is expensive, even with some more 'budget' devices on the market. Conversely, most moulds are quite small. So, while these might seem pricey, I haven't found a better value for money solution.A few reviewers (on amazon.com) have commented that the ice doesn't come out clear despite using pure water etc. Please refer to the excellent Craft Cocktails at Home by Kevin Liu to understand why and how to achieve this if it's really that important to you. I like the tip from another reviewer of putting them in bags whenever another is ready since they take quite a while to freeze and saves having to buy lots of moulds.Personally, I just love being able to cool my Old Fashioned with something effective and slightly funky.

Love these, we use them all the time. I think I read another review were someone said they leak, mine don't. What you need to do between uses is make sure there is no ice in the groves as that would cause them to leak. Great with whisky or gin & tonics.I've had lots of people ask where I bought them so they could buy them for themselves.

Have bought several of these and friends think they are great. Lasts for a few drinks and easy to use.

Much better than other sphere moulds I’ve used over the past couple of years. Creates durable ice cubes that are slow to melt so don’t dilute the drink whilst looking visually impressive.

Great fun and produces good lumps of round ice. Not too fiddly.

Great molds! Expensive for what they are, but generally really good product and would definitely recommend.

Really nice quality though I think for what they are they are a little pricy. But I am pleased with the set. Nicely boxed. Good for a gift.

Love these....do they make huge ice balls but we just put into plastic tub.....you need a fairly large glass to take them.
