When I first bought my 6 quart Kitchen Aid mixer, I was really disappointed with how it mixed single batches of dough. Because the bowl was so big, using the standard paddle attachment meant that all the dough would be pushed to the side of the bowl and I would have to scrape every few seconds. It was really frustrating.This attachment solves this problem and should have come with the mixer to being with. The flexible parts of the blade scrape the bowl constantly and mix it for perfect results. I just had a cookie making party this weekend where we made 10 batches of cookies and did not have to scrape the bowl once. It was great.There are other flex beaters out there. The official one by Kitchen Aid is at least 3 times the price of this one and only has one flex side, the other is regular. I would totally pick this beater over the official one. The construction is heavy duty plastic, I'm not sure how many years it'll last, but it seems solid enough and held up well to a triple batch of cookie dough. Even if I have to replace it in a few years, that's still cheaper than the official one.That being said, I would highly recommend this attachment to anyone who has the 6 qt mixer

I purchased this to use on my KitchenAid Professional 5 mixer when I make full batches of homemade buttercream. It doesn't seem to scrape as good as the smaller version that I used on my Kitchenaid Ultra mixer. The only way to actually feel like get it clean enough is to put it through a dishwasher cycle

NOT MEANT FOR 6QT BOWLS! The product does work, however not the way it should as it's to small. It was advertised for a 6qt when in fact its for the 5 qt.It does not touch the sides at all times as it is meant to on the 6qt(to be expected) and when itvtpuch touch it makes a clunking sound. I am not keeping mine and will be selling on the cheap to someone else to hopefully recoup some money. 3 stars only due to it being falsely advertised and it not working as it's meant to.If you have a 5qt this would be 5 stars for sure!

This little attachment does a terrific job of scraping down the sides of the bowl in my stand mixer. Even better, it helps eliminate the little bit of not-mixed-in stuff in the bottom of the bowl. On the negative side, it's a pain in the neck to clean, because batter gets trapped in the places where the scraper rubber is attached to the metal frame. Still, worth the effort - hot water and a hard spray will clean it quickly.

Great spare beater, and not bad for icing and lighter items. Still doesn’t fully scrape the sides, butter better than the original.

not sure if it would stand up to some of the thicker dough I make for pastries but for cake batter and lighter mixes it looks like and does work great.

I'm a home baker and I was so surprised by this product. When I opened it, I was concerned that it's plastic but I have been pleasantly surprised by the durability and usefulness of the design. I've used it daily, sometimes multiple times per day for over a month and I actually prefer it to the attachment that came with the mixer.

I’ve only used this a couple of times but it works just as I had hoped. The beater that came with the mixer doesn’t touch the edges of the bowl and I really wanted something that reached the sides and bottom. This does the trick at a great price!
