All parts were of decent quality and fit perfectly but the bolts for the upper pump housing are too short. I saved my original bolts so it wasn’t a big deal. Time will tell on longevity and reliability.

The guide pins are not correct for the application that we needed-The housing needs a little hands on…Again, hopefully this applies to different units…2004 Yamaha ox66 250

When i ordered this it was because it said it fits the yamaha 50hp outboard. The part looks similar so i bought it. Well it turns out it fits the 50 hp 4 stroke NOT THE 2 STROKE. The gaskets dont line up correctly. Further in the description it does indicate this but it should have been more clear in the listing.My fault. Ill just keep it because the impeller is the same.

Barely pumps water because it doesn’t seal right around the cup. Impeller is good but without the proper seal it will suck air

I ordered this one for quick delivery and it was a huge mistake. The water pump housing is machined incorrectly, pins and gaskets don't go together nicely, puts tension on the housing when tightening. Also the recessed tab is to narrow for both factory and the bolts from this kit, causing them to bend when tightening. And the woodruff key is visibly thicker than original and required aggressive filing for it to fit.I have changed dozens of these before and never had such a battle assembling a kit. Wasted lots of time so hopefully you don't have to.

Perfect fit for 1998 C40 hp 3 cylinder 2 stoke outboard motor.
