Hi, if you take out the batteries in the middle of a time lock, the screen will go blank, but the lock will not reset and you're not able to open the container. Removing the batteries will just stop the countdown and it will stay locked. Once you put the batteries back in, the timer will resume the countdown.

Q: While it is locked, can you reset the timer for 7 days out to make the lockbox work for 30 days or so?

Sorry, it can not reset while the timer is locked. You have to wait until the timer reaches 0, then you can reset the timer.
