This box is fantastic value for money.The picture and sound quality is excellent.I've used the sd card slot and a 500gb usb hdd(not at the same time)for making recordings and both have worked perfectly.I have it connected to a 32 inch new Samsung smart tv via hdmi cable.I have also played back the recordings through my Optoma Full HD Projector onto a 92 inch screen and that really shows up how good the little freeview hd box is.If your watching a programme while recording it at the same time I noticed the picture was a bit jerky but playing back the recording there was no jerkiness.There is also no jerkiness in the picture when your just watching a channel. I also bought a H***X freeview Hd box at the same time which cost £179.99 and I can honestly say the picture quality is not any better than the £24.99 box. Edit 27/9/2017:I've noticed the picture is a little bit jerky playing back a recording from the unit so I've knocked off 1 star.You can play back the recordings on your pc and compatible Blu-ray player,maybe that's why I didn't notice any jerkiness before.

Avoid this product....I have received this today, set it all up and saved it all. Went out and when I got back put TV on and most of the channels had just gone, set it up again then saved. Even while watching the BBC channel as I went to change channels they had gone again, lots of the channels had just gone, so far after having this box of crap I had to keep searching for channels and putting them back. After 4 hours I did it again, it will not store the channels it finds and you have to keep loading them back on again, so now it's unplugged and is going back to seller for a refund, it is just utter rubbish and don't bother. Spend a bit more and get a better one.

Totally useless. Avoid unless you want a very cheap option to upgrade to Freeview HD on an old standard Freeview TV.The programme guide is little more than unusable, and only shows the current and upcoming programmes on the channel you are watching. To see the programmes for another channel you have to change the channel to the one you want to look at. With 170+ Freeview TV, Radio and Data channels - that is a total pain. The interface looks like a computer program from the 1980's, done in someone's back bedroom on an Amiga 500 or an early Amstrad.

Absolutely perfect! Receives tv channels brilliantly, with a great clear picture without any annoying signal break up. also records perfectly using an sd card, and is very easy to use. Has a 7 day epg, but you can only see what's on the channel that you're viewing. Comes with a remote control and an instruction manual. Would definitely recommend.

Hat to buy a sd card and hdmi lead. which i dont think it said, just makes it a dearer purchase, the box is okay easy to set up

Bought this as we were struggling to get some of the newer Freeview Channels. This box found them straight away picture quality is perfect, easy to set up with on screen instructions. Cannot go wrong really.Slimline model so it does not take up any space and does not look ugly sat there.
