I home school my kids and so for science class one of them needed a microscope. There were many I looked at, but were just too expensive. So, I went with this one wondering if it was good quality and I was pleasantly surprised on how high quality it was. It has various zoom magnifications that range from 40x to 2000x. It also has an upper and lower light source for solid or transparent objects. The lower light is used for cellular level observation or bacteria for example and my son likes to observe leaves and so he uses the upper light system. I like that it has other features that can hold a cell phone where I can have a larger view to take pictures or video. It also comes with a bag, eye pieces, gift box, manual, and 12 testing accessories like a test tube and petri dish. It is definitely a quality microscope that gets the job done, but also my son has fun using it.

Being able to take a closer look at the things that usually can't be seen with a bare eye has peaked my kids curiosity and desire to learn.
