Update: I’ve been using this bike now for over a month and have put about 100 miles on it. Learning to keep the battery topped off has helped maintain average speed greatly. I’ve managed to squeeze out 25 mph on a full charge (some pedaling involved), and just the other day it managed to complete three full trips with bigger loads in a single day, one of which was up a mountain road. It’s a very capable piece of tech. Worth the money. Wish I could’ve gotten the silver one, but it wasn’t available at the time…You can’t go wrong with this bike. Get it. I’ve seen reviewers say there are cheaper options that are as good, but I can say for sure none of them look as good as this one (especially with aftermarket parts). That kind of thing matters to me, so if it matters to you then this is quite the looker. Especially that silver one…The only thing I want more than anything else for this bike is a cargo rack. Wish it would’ve just come with one, but since it doesn’t I hope Avantrek is able to release their own for purchase.——————————I like pretty much everything about the bike, though it would be nice if I could lock it in its folded position. As is, it’s free to flop around, even with its very nice, very stiff hinges. This is probably an issue with most folding bikes however, so I won’t fault the manufacturer too much. Besides, perhaps I’m just missing something and it does lock. Small gripe regardless.Additionally, I’ve never experienced such dedicated customer service on Amazon. I can’t recommend this bike enough!

I bought two those bikes simply because it has 48v motor like Lectric XPs and they are available and priced right. They came in 70% assembled. The shipping packages are both damaged with holes and tears. My First bike which is a silver model, was pretty easy to put together till I flipped it over and put the front wheel on. The wheel was not spinning freely since the brake rotor is intermittently rubbing the brake pads. From careful examination, I found the rotor was bent in two places, which could be damaged from shipping. But without a truing tool, I just can't get it right. I tried to adjust the brake pads to avoid the rubbing but only made the braking too weak to stop the turning wheel. The rotor rubbing was obvious for the rear wheel as well. However since the rubbing was continuously I knew a brake pad adjustment would be enough to fix it. I thought I was just not lucky with the first bike till I got to the second, which is a black one. The problem now was the front fork which hold the front wheel. It was bent. With brake assembly already installed on the fork, I can't successfully install the wheel with the rotor between the brake pads. After loosen the screws for the brake assembly, I could barely squeeze the wheel into the fork and lock it but again, the wheel rotor is now constantly rubbing the brake pads which prevents it from a free spin. This is beyond my ability to do the further adjustments. I will call my friend or local bike shop for help...since I don't have the option to return bikes because I have already disposed the package.Bottomline, if you are familiar and good at bikes then this would be a good deal. Otherwise, you might just get yourself a big headache unless you really don't care since you will only use it once a while.

Have had this bike for about three weeks and have put 50 miles on it. I've ridden up in the mountains without pedaling and it works great electric only. It does seem to get "tired" in electric only mode going up-hill for more than 10-15 minutes. Seems reasonable though. If I give it a break or start pedaling it recovers quickly. Very sturdy and rugged frame. I did crash, or more like tip over just standing there and the shimano shifter lost a critical part that keeps the shift retraction button in the extended position. I couldn't find what I think is a spring, so I ordered a new shifter.Folding is easy and fits nicely in the back of my Subaru.All in all I like this bike and think it's well worth the money if you can get one.

We purchased 2 of these, the black one is perfect but the charger was dead ( Amazon took good care of us). However the Silver one was pretty badly damaged (box was in ok condition) packing caused the derailer bracket to severely bend (had to be some force) Awaiting response from company that Amazon contacted on our behalf, don't want to send the bike back just requested the small bracket replacement, local bike shop will install or attempt to repair if we can't get any satisfaction from the Avantrek. Phone number gives a repeating message. Frustrating as we would like to get out and have some fun together.

Can't say enough about the quality of these bikes, and for AVANTREK's customer service! Excellent on both counts!

My bike doesn't work. It has a code 30 and won't run. I've tried for 5 days to get the company to respond to my SOS on this and all I get is an Amazon rep telling me they can't help me. This is a lot of money to loose and now our vacation will suck because I'll be sitting while my husband is riding his.

This is a great bike for the price! I ride my bike to work and gym every day and I already have like 100 miles on it and no problems at all, the only thing I don’t like is that is Not fully equipped so you need to get some fenders and lights somewhere else but apart from that the bike is awesome. Great customer service! I would definitely recommend this bike

Super fun, not 28mph tho. It stops propelling you at 20. Also Amazon plays games with the price I see. It was 759.00 a week ago and now it's 869.00.
