Coming from a girl who loves makeup I have tried so many primers and most of them dont hold my makeup well. It will start pilling, sweat off or just start to look weird. I switched to this primer a few months ago and I will never go back. This grips my makeup so well, keeps it in place all day long and leaves my makeup looking amazing. My makeup no longer looks cake or patchy and I never get creases anymore! Highly recommend!!!

absolutely love the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer! I use it daily along with the e.l.f. Acne Fighting Putty Primer, and the combo works like magic. I wear a full face of makeup for 6 to 9 hour work shifts, and this primer plays a huge role in keeping everything in place without melting or fading.It’s incredibly comparable to the Milk Hydro Grip Primer, but way more budget-friendly—which makes it a win in my book. If you're looking for long-lasting hold without breaking the bank, this is it. I’ll definitely keep repurchasing!

I'm older and bought this hoping my skin would look better when applying this before my foundation. It made my foundation feel and look very dry and my face looked like I had no moisture. I don't know if it's due to this or this combination with my foundation. I can say though that I applied it for a few days and then stopped for a few days. When I then reapplied my foundation thereafter. My face did look better when applying my foundation alone. So, I don't know. It could be that my face is way too dry, and I would need time to use this in order for this to work.

I’ve been really impressed with the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer, especially considering how affordable it is. It works just as well as some high-end primers I’ve tried. I definitely notice a difference on the days I use it—my makeup lasts significantly longer and looks fresher throughout the day. The primer has a slightly tacky texture, which helps grip foundation and other products really well. It also feels lightweight and hydrating, and it doesn’t pill or interfere with my other products. If you're looking for a budget-friendly primer that genuinely improves makeup wear time, this is a great choice.

This primer works so well! I still have a couple other primers, but I don't want to use them now that I've used this one. To put it in perspective, I am a metal fan and avid concert-goer, and this keeps my makeup intact, even at an 80 degree outdoor concert in GA. I haven't worn it in hotter temps than that yet, but I was sweating like crazy and my makeup looked fine at the end of the night. I definitely recommend it.

I love writing reviews for things that are fantastic. This ELF gripper primer is awesome. Makes your make up stay all day long. I put it on first thing before I put any other makeup on then I put my blush on then I put a light weight foundation over that then powder . At the end of the workday I can still see my blush in place just as I did it that morning. I've tried a lot of other primers from very high-end stores and I can say this is still my favorite one.

Not to bad of a primer if you're looking for a tacky primer that grips and holds your makeup for several hours. The consistency is almost serum like as opposed to a "gel", which is fine because it is quite easy to apply and glides on effortlessly. Once it's on the recommendation is to let it dry for roughly half a minute prior to using complexion makeup products. After the dry down the facial canvas is left with a slightly tacky surface which does in fact aid in longer wear time. It does remain tacky throughout the day and hair flyaways have a tendency to stick to the face, also after several hours of wear it starts to look a bit oily and breaks down. If you're out n about you may want to do a quick touch-up or give your face a light dusting of powder. This is the point where you start getting that feeling that all you want to do is get home and wash your face ~ at least this is how I felt and what I experienced.I gave this ELF PRIMER a shot because I wanted to see how well it helped the staying power of my makeup, and it definitely does increase wear time. Unfortunately, there's zero blurring capabilities and this is a must have feature for me. I applied the primer all over my face and let it dry down the recommended time and then went in and applied my blurring primer in the areas where I needed it the most, then proceeded with complexion application. End result with both primers gave me a nice end result.Overall, the primer works as intended. I'm less than thrilled with the break down after several hours and definitely not fond of my hair sticking to my face or the stray eyelash that dances on my face until it gets stuck. I will use it on the days I need staying power, aside from those days I will stick with my blurring primer for a more flawless finish.
