Mexico - Culture Smart!: The Essential Guide to Customs & Culture

Written by a well-respected (and Spanish speaking!) author on Latin America, this book does a great job of introducing you to the Mexican heart and mind. He is clearly very familiar with Mexico and its people, and his descriptions matched both my own experiences in the country over the past years and the opinions of my Mexican friends. Well done Russell Maddicks and Culture Smart! If you are heading south – take one of these little guides with you. You will be better off for it.

While the book is incomplete there is enough there for the businessman to remember and form his own approach to Mexico. The author's emphasis on the diversity and size of Mexico are important considerations for developing a regional approach to Mexico.

Considering that I want to learn at least a little of my own culture, I found this book to be a good introduction to life in Mexico, if only for a short visit.All in all, this was up to par for a Culture Smart book, with a section on religion, food and drink, and even time out.

I moved to Tucson which is near the Mexican border and wanted to learn more about Mexican culture, this is the perfect book

This book covers most everything that you need to know for your trip South of the border.I would highly recommend it.
