Basically, I'm lazy. I always want to like a product soi I don't need to return or exchange it. This battery was supposed to replace the Dyson battery. It fits nicely into the slot and seems to charge well. However, the charge does not last any longer than the old battery that I am replacing. This battery also provides intermittent power to the unit. Sometimes the vacuum stops and I have to give it a shake to start it up again. Likely a short or something with the battery??? This does not happen when I use the old battery. I am asking for a replacement and will update my review when and if I get a new battery.UPDATE: I returned the battery to the company. They were happy to exchange or replace the battery. I chose to exchange it. the new battery was promptly sent out to me. I have now used the new battery for a couple of weeks and several charges. No problems with the new one. If you are considering the battery, I say go for it. I am using the battery in my Dyson V10 vacuum.

This is the absolute best battery you can find.... if you abjectly hate your own existence and find favor in vacuuming 20 cubic inches per full charge.This unit worked relatively well (no noticeable difference between it and the original factory unit as far as battery life) for about two months. It now fails to hold a charge. After 19 hours on the charger, it powers the vacuum for roughly ten seconds. Any shorter span on the charger and it doesn't power the vacuum at all. -2/10 stars.

Works as well as OEM. The original Dyson battery has the check charge button on the stem. When pressing it, the blue lights come on for just a couple of seconds and you cannot check the voltage with a volt meter. With this replacement, pressing the button illuminates the blue charge indicators and with the button pressed, the voltage can be determined with a volt meter. It also cost much less than the Dyson. I have several. I leave out the screws that bind it to the vacuum and then use them interchangeably like a power tool. The tightness of fit holds them in place during use.

I bought this battery, hoping it would work with my Dyson V1 animal vacuum. I installed this just as I should and even left on the charger for eight hours without the battery even showing a charge. Unfortunately, this was a complete waste of money as the battery is useless to me. I waited too long to test it to return it so it looks like I’m out the money. It’s too bad as I was really looking forward to this working.

Some issues with fitting. Certainly not as good as OEM battery.

Went bad after a month and the seller accepted an exchange. When it was working it worked just like my old battery. I will update this review once I've put the new one in and used it for a bit.
