Be sure you have 220 volts for input.
The amplifier is compact, light and easy to carry. That is fine. But beware: the power input has no a switch to chose between an input of 120 or 220 Volt. That is, the input is for any of these amount of Volts. Of course, the output is proportional to the input power. Since I have no domestic power of 220 Volts, I can only play the amplifier with 120 volts of input. My feeling is that the 100 Watts VRMS can only be delivered with an input of 220 Volts. In my case, with 120 volts, the sound is quite limited. The AER acoustic amplifier with an output 60 watts VRMS and 120 volts of input, delivers much more power. I have made some measurements. The AER with a volume level of 3 /10 delivers more than 100 Decibels of sound. The Phill Jones with the same Gibson guitar and the output volume in 8 / 10 delivers no more that 80 Db of sound. The reality is that in electricity Power is the amount of Volts times the amount of current (P=V*I). In mechanics the power is the force F applied over a distance x (P=F*x). As for electricity point of view, the output power is limited by the amount of input volt. As for mechanics, the output power is limited by the size of the speakers of only 5'. That speaker can't give enought Force to displace an amout o air as any speaker of 12'. It is my feeling that the amplifier does not delivers more than 30 wats VRMS with an input of 120 volts. Since I can not make testings with 220 volts input, I can not be sure of the performance in such conditions. So, my best evaluation is two and a half stars.

Sounds great. I needed something lighter to carry to weekly ...
Delivered on all promises. Small, light. Sounds great. I needed something lighter to carry to weekly rehearsals with the local banjo band I play bass for; as well as occassional performances. The DI output worked flawlessly when I used it on a parade float (into a PA) on the 4th of July. My GoldTone micro acoustic bass sounds terrific through it. The combination of the two gives me a very small, light, and portable top-notch set of equipment. The only disappointment was I expected more volume from 100 watts, compared to the Bassman 25 (single 10"speaker) it replaced. Maybe that's a limitation of the smaller speaker area. Any way, I love it. It also rocks with my Peavey Cirrus and Millennium USA basses. Even the 5-stings.

It is worth every penny
I had my doubts about this little combo, but I already used it in a setting with several brass instruments, drummer, guitarist, etc.. and it worked just fine, I mean, at a rehearsal volume, it is great for small gigs and plus it has 2 channels, so it is perfect to plug another instrument or microphone, overall a very good product, and NO it is not Chinese it is only assembled in China, the parts are high quality.

A superior combo that packs a punch in a small box.
This is the perfect small combo for practice and small room gigs as a stand-alone unit. Also, consider running the line out to the PA/FOH and enjoy the excellent preamp and functionality.

For Many Situations, It's Perfect and You Don't Need More
My collection of amps is mostly bass amps - I play more bass than guitar, and I like the way bass amps make my guitars sounds, even if I have to turn the bass tone control knob down when I'm using it for guitar or keyboard. This amp is absolutely the sweet spot for me. I've owned a PJ Double Four - this is a little bit bigger, but for me, it's still small enough to carry in a bag with a shoulder strap, and the extra volume and cleaner low end are worth it.I bought mine used and couldn't be happier with it. I used it in my teaching studio for a long time, and take it with me when I need a little sound reinforcement but don't need to make my listeners deaf. :) Highly recommended, just a great piece of gear that does everything you'd want, right down to having two channels which the Double Four doesn't have.
