This is a review for the following product as specifically described by the vendor on his Amazon webpage: Electriduct 3/8" Heat Shrink Tubing, 2:1 Shrinkable Tube Cable Sleeve - 10 Feet (Clear).These types of fairly simple, non-complex products are fairly easy to review - - they either work as advertised or they don't! What's even more expeditious for the reviewer is the fact that it only takes a few trials of any such heat-shrink product like this and the results are immediate and permanent. Unfortunately, all the other different online products for sale aren't all like this!This heat shrink product definitely works as specified by the seller - - hence my 5 stars rating. What's more, it'll perform with the heat source coming from EITHER a professional-type heat gun or a home HAIR DRYER - - the only difference being the hair dryer application understandably takes a bit more time to perform the shrink process than the stronger, more powerful commercial heat gun. The good news is that you don't have to go out and buy a relatively expensive heat gun if you already have a hair blower/dryer - - thus preserving the value received from the Amazon low price-point of this tubing product at the time of this writing.Two other notes of significance re this 2:1 shrink ratio, polyolefin product:1) The 10' of shrink tubing in this offering is a very generous allocation on the part of the vendor. Few, if any, other sellers are this magnanimous!2) The above mentioned 10' of heat shrink arrive in a rolled-up configuration of a single 10' roll. What's a bit misleading is that the roll is NOT tubular but FLAT in shape. This caused me a bit of frustration in one of my tests - - which was to encase and shrink the totally flat, scisssor-ed cut-off length piece onto a round, cylindrical object. It proved time-consuming to do this because the flat shrink "tubing" was reluctant to give up its manufactured flat roll configuration and thus took a bit of patience to open it up in order to accommodate the item to be encased. But with some additional degree of tolerance, I prevailed, finally got the un-shrunk piece in place and zapped it with my wife's hair dryer for an ultimate perfectly fit, tight result.BTW, this product comes in many different colors and sizes - - a luxury-like offering that few other online vendors I sourced offer. IMO, this is a further indication that this seller is a quite professional purveyor of excellent quality and value products.

The first photo shows the clear 5/8 inch tubing before shrinking not fitting onto an 18650 battery which is just under 0.71 inches in diameter. The tubing might be suitable for a cylinder of maximum diameter 11/16 (0.6875) inch, but even that would be very tight.The second photo shows a 5/8 inch birch dowel. The unrestricted shrunken portion was 0.385 inches in diameter or about 7/16 of an inch outside diameter - approximately 3/8 inch inside diameter.So, yeah, don't trust the claim of 2:1 shrink ratio either.

I use this product for wooden rose stems. They work great!

Came with lots of kinks (see picture). This is the small 1/16" diameter heat shrink so the kinked areas will have to be discarded.

Much better than buying in the hardware store. I only use 1/8” size (for motorcycle wiring and to prevent safety wire from scratching paint). Seems to shrink down with very minimal heat which is nice. Comes in a plastic bag.

Works as expected at a good price.

The brown color is more of a red clay color. Other than that, product is good
