RaceWax Complete Ski Wax Tuning Kit Plus Ski Vise (Accepts Snowboard Adapter)

This kit is awesome. It definitely gets you started and the online videos are extremely informative. (There’s a piece of paper with a pink in the kit)I was able to file, edge, and wax three pairs of skis with the included materials. I was able to file and edge my snowboard too but didn’t have enough wax. I could have used the blue colder wax but I wanted to stick with the more general purpose red wax.You’ll eventually want to consider buying more files and wax. This kit gets you started but the materials wear out as they would with any product.The real value in this kit are the vices, the brushes, the scrapers, the p-Tex, and the iron. Everything fits neatly in the bag too (except for the vices). The vices make this whole process a breeze. I can’t believe I never used something like that before!The time I spent edging and waxing my gear was probably the same or less as I would have spent driving my gear to a shop, waiting in line, driving home, driving back 2 weeks later (after calling and asking why it was taking so long), sending the gear back in because they didn’t edge, driving home, driving back 4 days later, and finally picking my stuff up with a half effort edge and wax.Happy with the product.

This kit is a tremendous value. I added a Harbor Freight folding metal sawhorse as my workbench. My college-aged daughter and I just tuned 1 snowboard and 3 pairs of skis in one afternoon, with 2 pairs of skis getting complete edge work. That used up about 1/2 of the supplied all-temp wax. I probably earned back the cost of the kit on those 4 tunes. This kit with the vise set included every tool that I needed, except for snowboard mounts. Yes, the edge tool leaves some "tracks" on the base, but we'll see how they look after scraping the wax and brushing out the bases. I doubt that it's a significant issue.We're both very psyched to keep our gear in better condition by doing it ourselves. And we can't wait to make our first tracks of the season in 3 days!

Kit came in a timely manner--all the parts and wax were high quality and worked well--I have tuned probably 10 pairs of skis and a snow board (same skis more than once) and everything worked well. Only complaint is the file that came with the kit does not seem to last very long--I have already ordered 3 more and they are pretty much gone now also--I think about 2 tunes on skiis is about all you can expect for a file.

5 stars for customer service! We bought this kit for my daughter for Christmas and she didn’t get around to using it until last week - a few days after the Amazon return window. Unfortunately the iron didn’t work. I reached out to the seller directly and they got back to me within the hour and had a new iron sent to my daughter the next day! Thank you! Great kit! I did a lot of research before I bought this kit. I have no regrets. This kit has everything you need to tune your skis!! Both of my daughters race for their High School Ski Team so they frequently need to wax and sharpen their skis. With what it costs to have skis tuned at a ski shop this is well worth the investment. After we watched a few Youtube videos the girls were able to tune their skis easily with this kit. It was money well spent!!

This was my first dip into ski tunning. Having three kids, myself and my wife ski and snowboard tunning cost were getting out of control. This kit works great, we will never look back. Its all downhill from here.

After months of East coast tree skiing I have used this Kit almost bi weekly to help keep my planks in a smooth fast sliding condition. It includes almost everything you could need.

If you’re wanting to start tuning your own skis watch some DIY videos on line & then BUY THIS KIT!There is well over $300 worth of tuning/waxing items included & it has everything you need to start maintenancing your own skis.The only items that I would buy separately to get started is some better wax, a cheap brush for getting metal shavings off my bindings & maybe a finer grit diamond stone.Other than that I have no complaints about this set up whatsoever.
