What a great product. Also when I purchased these it seems strange but the chopped up ones cost more than the full-size ones. I would rather have a full-size one and find something significant when I’m eating that a bunch of pieces that may just blend in with everything. So I save money and buy the full-size Romo house. It’s a great product and I have a little bit of extra crunch to your breakfast and everyone says how healthy walnuts are. What a great product. The 16 ounce walnut bag is quite convenient and the resealable bag works perfectly for storing. The walnuts are shelled, with some halves but mostly medium sized pieces. They're in between being fresh and `old dry`.I don't find these walnuts the best quality wise, especially in terms of taste (they have some walnut flavor, but on the bitter side). They are great for baking, but not so good for eating on their own as a snack. They are OK for salads or topping oatmeal. Toasting/roasting helps a little with enhancing the flavor.I like my nuts raw, so I appreciated finding unsalted and unflavored options. But I also like more flavor from my nuts.

I got a nice, fresh, crunchy bag full of plump walnut halves... As good a value as if I had gone to my market, actually. I dove right in and had a few handfuls before I had to stop myself and remember I needed them for some recipes!!YUMMY!

California's Delicious Diamond Walnuts, delicious and nutritious snack right out of the bag, taste even better if toasted - (on a baking sheet in a preheated 350*F oven, for 8 minutes. Watch closely so you don't burn them.) Less than half of the pieces are intact walnut halves, attractive enough for decorative use as a top to a cookie or other dishes. You can search for a bag of "Walnut Halves" if that is what you need. For storage, best to keep in a tightly sealed bag or container in the fridge. For longer term storage, store in tightly sealed container in freezer.

These came in and are very fresh, and about a dollar cheaper than my grocery store has them on sale.Sometimes I just eat a few or we put them in salads, but I love them in brownies, cookies, carrot cake and banana bread. These do come in pieces but they are nice size chunks- perfect just as they are to go in most foods that I use them in.I have made a walnut pie (just like a pecan pie but with walnuts) and it was very good too.I will probably buy these on Amazon from now on. It's a good value.

I have ordered these walnuts twice and been very happy with them. Both times, they have been fresher than the nuts that I usually buy at the grocery store, and cheaper too.The only drawback to this product is that I end up with six pounds at a time. In order to deal with the large quantity and keep them fresh, I store them in the refrigerator. The upside of this is that I have been snacking on them instead of on junk food, and that I have been adding them to all sorts of food, from my breakfast cereal to the cookies that I bake. Since nuts are supposedly really healthy to eat, I guess that getting six pounds of them at a time is OK.

I can conunt on Diamond walnuts to be fresh when I am ready to use them. These can be eaten as is but I love them in my recipes. I wouldn't buy any other brand for my special salads and baking and oh my goodness how good they make that fudge. Sprinkle a few on your cereal and you will love the extra crunch.

Great item fresh with really good flavor would buy them again
