Transcend 512GB JetFlash 930C USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive TS512GJF930C, Rose Gold

A very useful tech with great speed and reliability. I do a lot of drone shoots and need to transfer a lot of content on the fly to free up space on my Drone SD car. It is USB 3.2 Gen 1 which is pretty great in terms of speed. All of this without having to use the annoying cables!!

I bit expensive compared to other brands but I guess it's justified by the options of USB and USB-C connections.

So, to fix this, apparently, this problem only occurs in some machines (in some windows builds I am guessing), you need to download JetFlash Online Recovery, press download, and select the "Jeflash Series" version. Open up the software, and plug in any 900 series (I know that it at least works on 920 and 930C models) Transcend USB drive. Follow on-screen instructions to perform the recovery, after the first run, you need to perform the recovery again (don't know why, so don't ask me). Then, it would act just like any USB and you can do whatever you like to it. When using the USB c, it is about twice the speed of using USB a. (This is a limitation of the computer, not the stick)Using USB c - writing to the drive, getting over 250MB/s. This is using a gen3.2 card connected to a pcie 2 (x4), so would expect on a brand new computer with native gen3.2x2 you'd get nearer to 450MB/s as this is a usb 3.2 gen1 stick .Works well.Fast. I like.

As a pendrive with both USB type A nd C could be very useful, but the unit is too long (easily bumped out of alignment) and the end caps absolutely useless - they fall off, will be lost in no time. Suggest look for something sturdier, especially one buys this for mobility!!

For transferring files or temporary storage, nothing is easier
