Check power connection and be aware of sections possibly falling
Came with a European power plug and it couldn't be used until an adapter was purchased.The sections are not connected so consequently they are easily knocked over.

Electrical plug won't work in the US
I bought this as a gift for my husband who has had several lava lamps over the years. He opened it at Christmas and we found that the electrical plug was set up for 230 volts whereas our house (and most in the US) are 120 volts. The plug was larger than our outlets. We returned it! While the information on the webpage says it ships from the UK, there was no explanation that the plug is made for the UK and not the US.

Can't use it, DON'T BUY IT
This lava lamp can't be used in the U.S. because it has a European electrical plug. It should not be posted for U.S. customers. Beyond frustrated.
