Ozaki O. Coat Slim Y Versatile 360 Degree Foldable Case with Patented Technology and On/Off Function for Apple iPad Air 2 Blue Schwarz (Motiv)

I used the ozaki case for iPad Air, and it was very nice. Expecting the same quality, I ordered the case for iPad pro 9.7 thought it was a way more expensive than the one for iPad Air.The case for iPad Pro 9.7,(1) only cover is leather-like, while the backside of the case is normal plastic. In the iPad Air case the backside is also leather like.(2) the magnets are so weak. when covered it works as only for wakening ipad. Without rubber band, the cover won't stick to the iPad.Except for those two above, everything else is fine.

I used to absolutely love Ozaki cases. I had one of the O!coat for my iPad 4, have had their O!coat 0.3 cases on my iPhones since my iPhone 4s... And loved every bit of it.My girlfriend also has one of these for her iPad mini 1. And similar to the O!Coat for the iPad 4, her case's feel is amazing. The cover holds up perfectly, and the plastic at the back of the case feels great in hand. They used to put a softer type of plastic that makes it hold very well in your hand (it won't slip). For lack of better way to describe it, let's just say that on these case, if you were to dig your fingernails on it really hard you'd probably leave a small dent. This softer feel made your iPad very comfortable to the touch.The O!Coat I got for my new iPad mini is ALMOST the same... Except they changed the type of plastic they use. It is now this super hard, shiny "basic" plastic you'll see in cheap cases. It makes me sweat when I hold my iPad. And I'm always scared I'll drop it cause it's slippery.I fear Ozaki has chosen to switch from higher priced, amazing quality product to discounted price, cheap material products. So, beware...I'm frankly sad because their products used to also make it very, very easy for me to select a case for my new Apple gadget - which in a very saturated market I always found daunting before I found them. Back to square one I guess. It's been a hell of a ride, Ozaki :(

I bought it at a good price.I'm so satisfied.

The front flap doesn't stay closed if you move the iPad around - like having it on your hand as if it was a book. In fact, it didn't stay closed when new, but now that the cover has been used as a stand for some time, the flap doesn't even stay totally flat. (I seem to remember that other covers stay in place magnetically, but I am not sure)The packaged "instructions" tell you to use the elastic band in the back to keep the flap closed. This feels kinda ... unelegant.The prop-up ability is as advertised.

I like the design. I had a similiar model before, but without graphics. This one is looks better. Has the same functionality (vertical and horizontal stand + rubber for the car ), but has the same problem with fragile material around edges, that keeps braking off in both ozaki models. The one I bought 2 weeks ago starts to crack already. I wonder how long it will last.

Wir haben uns das Cover gekauft nachdem unser Moshi Versa-Cover nach Jahren intensiver Nutzung leider kaputt ging. Wir hätten das Cover gerne erneut bestellt, jedoch ist es für unser iPad-Modell nicht mehr in der gewünschten Farbe (wir möchten nicht blau oder rosa) erhältlich.Das neue Cover passt zwar auf das iPad, jedoch empfinden wir den Kunststoff nicht besonders hochwertig. Der Deckel legt sich beim Schließen auch nicht flach auf das Gerät, sondern steht etwas ab. Die Magneten sind so schwach, dass das Gerät im aufgestellten Zustand nicht stabil ist.Vermutlich würden wir dieses Cover nicht nochmals kaufen. Allerdings gibt es leider auch keine wirklichen Alternativen.

Ich habe diese Hülle schon für ein anderes iPad gehabt und sie mir auch für das neue iPad Pro geholt. Besonders die Halterung für den Apple Pencil ist genial (für mich leider zwei Tage zu spät angekommen, hab die Kappe am Pencil verloren ... wäre mit dieser Halterung definitiv NICHT passiert)!!!Wer andere Eingabe-Stifte auf seinem iPad Pro verwendet wird evtl. eine Halterung ähnlich der an den früheren Hüllen dieses Modells vermissen. Eine Alternative wäre in so einem Fall sicherlich wünschenswert und sollte bei dem Preis der Hülle durch den Hersteller ohne weitere Kosten hinzugefügt werden können. Die Halterung ist tatsächlich eher auf den Apple Pencil ausgelegt ... für mich perfekt.Ich habe zwar nicht die dazugehörige Apple Tastatur, denke aber, dass die nicht verwendet werden kann wenn das iPad in dieser Hülle steckt ... die Kontakte werden vermutlich 1-2 mm auseinander liegen. Das müsste jemand ausprobieren und dann hier entsprechend kommentieren.Sollte ich mir wieder Erwarten die Tastatur doch noch zu legen werde ich die Bewertung entsprechend ergänzen.Von mir eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung!!!
