RUPES D-A Fine High Performance Fine Polishing Foam Pad 2-Pack,7 inch Face,6 inch Backing

Rupes yellow foam "Fine" pads are the best I have found for my intended purposes.I mainly use these for an all-in-one cleaner/polish/wax product in a professional setting on my Rupes and other DA polishers.Occasionally I have used with fine and finishing polishes and a compound as well. The pads are equally proficient in each area.They are versatile and do a nice job on all but the most finicky/hard to finish paint surfaces. Use the softer Rupes white pad in those cases and the problem is solved.They offer great feel and I appreciate the pad flaring to the contact surface. This eliminates the chance of bumping the backing material and even the plate against a surface unintentionally.The pad is thick enough to give the slightest cushion and will absorb some product, but the pads do a nice job of holding product on the work surface much better than others.They are firm enough to accept moderate to heavy pressure when needed and do not fold or warp as other brands have done to me. The backing material stays attached to the backing plate and the foam does not separate either.Additionally, the foam does not crumble or dust when being used.Compared to other brands without the center air hole, these do run cooler.Should cost be a concern, consider this: I frequently use compressed air to blow the pad surface clean during a job and wash the pads every time I am done with the job.I average 60 of these use/wash cycles per pad.Sixty...and this is on a 21mm (long throw) DA polisher which can be rough on pads.Excellent, excellent pads

I have used the pad and am very happy with the design and quality of the pad. I works well for a 1 step polish and finish if you desire. No backing separation an definitely one pad I keep in my polishing arsenal. - Professional detailer

This is a typical Rupes product - quality & made well. It can be used with slightly abrasive compounds if you need a little cut, or with straight polishes or waxes if you just need that. They also come in all the sizes, so you can use them for a range of various sized polishing heads. Definitely a recommended product.

I bought these and lake country orange pads to try side by side. The extended rounding on the edge of these helps better than the LC when getting into body lines so I give these the edge.
