MOSTPLUS 21100-61012 Carburetor Carb Compatible for Toyota Land Cruiser 2F 4230CC FJ40 1969-1987 21100-61050 201055772420

Bought this to replace a Weber 32/36 that was on my 1984 Land Cruiser for the past 10-15 years.Installation was easy enough and this carburetor fits well into an already desmogged system. If you are coming from an OEM carb then I'm guessing you'll need to transfer vacuum fittings.A few things to note if you are moving to this from a Weber:1) You'll need to craft a connector for the fuel cutoff solenoid but standard spade connectors work. This carb's solenoid is only 1 wire while the OEM is 2 so you'll want to bridge on the OEM yellow wire.2) Chances are you'll need to replace the choke wire assembly. Mine had to be modified (fitting cut off) in order to fit a Weber and going back to OEM-ish with this carb doesn't work. You can still get the assembly from Toyota3) You'll want a different riser for this carburetor and I'd recommend the OEM one with the heat shield. New fasteners will also be needed as the Weber fasteners are a little too short. Intake manifold uses M8x1.25 threads and I just used 60mm bolts with the head cut off as studs for simplicityOverall the installation, tuning, and performance of this carburetor on my truck has been good. I have noticed better acceleration and the dieseling issue prominent with Weber's is resolved due to the solenoid

For the price I wasn't expecting much. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find a complete carburetor in the box. The carb was a direct replacement and needed very little (if any) tuning once installed. I was skeptical at first but now that it's on the FJ I'm pleased!!

The part originally had fitment issues with the diameter of mounting bolts. They weren't exactly in line with original bolts. Debated whether or not to bore the holes to make fit; decided instead to return and try my luck again with same part. Once I recieved another part, it has been used before and repackaged as new as there has been obvious modifications to the same problem mentioned. Additionally, the electrically plug and wire was cut and repaired with electrical tape and connector was changed to a single prong. It did not match the pictured product. I could not use this product and did not recieve the correct part as I tried to explain the issues but did not get proper results. I paid for this part and it's unable to be used. Not refund or replacement was offered after second attempt. Wasted my money and still have issues. Hopefully Amazon can help me in some way.

Overall I have been pleased with this purchase. I wasn't sure what to expect for the price and purchasing from a non-traditional parts vendor, but the product arrived in good condition, matched my vehicle specs, and functions great. I have been running this carburetor for about 2 weeks in a 1976 Landcruiser and so far it has worked as advertised. I would recommend this product to others.
