VERY SATISFIED PURCHASE
Everything works as its supposed to and its real good quality and it drives smooth and its pretty much silent. I changed it over to left hand drive easily the only difficult part was the lever for the seat to unlock to spin. The owner of the Company contacted me right after the purchase and also after i received it to make sure everything was good. We are very satisfied so far its less than a month but it all looks good so far. Its a good value its well made and nicely finished.

So close to being perfect... but very close.
Brilliant!!! For my needs anyway... I have slowly advancing MS and use a high end power chair for outdoors and downstairs in home. I have a stair lift to the second floor but now too difficult using a walker upstairs. This chair was perfect. Breaks down into 4 parts; even the axle assembly detaches (earlier models didn't).I was able to get it upstairs myself (a bit of struggling) and now have almost 100% to my upstairs. I have only one complaint...and took a star off (very reluctantly). The seat connects to the frame much like a receiver hitch for a trailer on your car. The problem is that there is ONE single through bolt connecting the two parts. Because it's not a perfect fit there's a little slop in seat so when you lean left/right even a little bit the seat will tilt just a tiny bit... but enough to really notice it. All the time.My solution was to wrap about 1 and 1/2 layers of electrical tape around the post before inserting in the receiver. It's better but not perfect. Later I'll probably make an aluminum shim to take up the slack. Golden Tech SHOULD HAVE had TWO bolts; one aligned fore/aft in addition to the left/right aligned bolt. It would have been solid as a rock.Again... more annoying than anything. And again... meets my needs. Battery life more than enough for me. Outdoors? Hmmm... their specs seem a bit exaggerated. I could be wrong. Not going to go 4 wheeling but grocery shopping, the mall, etc. perfect. Maneuverable, pretty speedy, functionality, quality are all B+ or better grades. And a great price point. Not comfy enough to spend all day in it but it wasn't designed for that.

Don't buy online if you don't have a local dealer who will service it.
Do NOT buy this online. If you have any issues with it, you have to take it to a dealer. And their website is wrong about who is and who isn't a dealer. Here's my experience with this unit. Bought 12/6/16. Assembled it, took it to my 96 year old grandmother's nursing facility. She was unable to use it. The starting/stopping was too jarring for her. That's besides the point, really. Took it my my parent's place to store it because my dad was having a hard time walking and would need it soon. 2 months ago, my dad tried to charge it and it wouldn't take a charge. Batteries sat too long unused, I get it, batteries do that. I replaced the batteries. They charged up, tested the chair, seemed to work fine. A couple of weeks later, Dad goes to use it. Won't move. Batteries seem charged, but chair won't move and he battery power indicator drains quickly. Call the mfgr again and he says that one or both motors are probably bad and are draining the batters while it's just sitting there. And that the batteries are also probably ruined again. Tells me to take it to a local service center because the warranty expired 12/6/17. Lists some local service centers. None of them are service centers and some not even dealers. Yes, I get that this chair is out of warranty, but it's essentially unused. MAYBE 1/10th of a mile on it. Maybe. Tried to get help from them again and they insist that I have to work with a dealer. Closest one is 60 miles away and they don't know if they have anyone who can fix it. "Maybe we can look at it," they say. An unused chair, regardless of the warranty time, should work. Especially for $1500. And while they won't tell me how much the motors for this cost, I'm sure it will be many hundreds of dollars. And then what? If these last motors were garbage, why wouldn't these new ones be?*EDIT* After pulling it out of my car to test the batteries, I noticed that the battery box had leaked battery acid in my car and on the floors in my house (and a bit on my hand). I called back the mfgr and got a different person who was suddenly very motivated to help me. Sending me new battery charger (that was the culprit) and new batteries. So it went from sorry, we can't help you at all, you MUST go through a dealer to, yes sir, right away, sir. Funny how a faulty battery charger making leakproof batteries leak battery acid everywhere motivates a company.

LiteRider for smaller areas
This LiteRider model is just slightly smaller than the usual RoundAbout, making it a little easier to get around inside our older home with narrower halls and doorways. It does take some practice to get used to the control joystick, but that is to be expected. The LiteRider is easy to disassemble and place in the car trunk so it can be used for shopping. Keep in mind that the person needing to use it is not likely to be able to do this himself so a friend or spouse needs to be able to do this. Since I am not Superwoman, we have a 2nd scooter in the car at all times so I don't have to repeatedly disassemble the LiteRider and carry it downstairs to the car and back up again repeatedly. That's a savings on my back and strictly personal preference. It's a great little battery operated chair! Golden Technologies GP162 LiteRider PTC 162

Has given me back my life.
I love this chair! I work at the airport and have had so many passengers ask me about it. Its fun to watch them sit in the boarding area and get on their phones to order their own chair.

Older home special!
Very handy especially for older homes with narrow doorways. Controls are sensitive and if you have not played video games or used this type of controller before it will take some practice. Once you have the controls mastered it turns on a dime and gives you 9 cents change. Overall an excellent inexpensive electric chair to assist getting around in the house and to and from doctors offices and appointments that require walking some distance. Has performed well so far for the 3 months I have used this item. Would certainly recommend any handicapped person to consider this.
