American Apparel Women's Plaid Tennis Skirt

I am 5'7" with a 34" waist and normally wear a size 12/14. I bought the XL in this skirt knowing it might be a little too small based off the size chart. The material is very stiff but good quality fabric and seams. I slide the skirt on and it just fit, barely though. It was a little uncomfortable to wear at first but the more I wore it around the house, the more the fabric relaxed and felt decent. I still think it's a tad too small for me but true to the American Apparel size chart. I will keep it though bc I love the colors and style.

Just get it if it is in your size. I got my size, fits perfectly. It is comfortable and it does stretch a little but it isn’t really meant to stretch. But the fit is really nice and the material is good. A bit pricey yeah but if you want a skirt that will last you and doesn’t look cheap just spend the extra $10/$20

Very cute skirt , it’s fashionable & gives a schoolgirl chic look. Only thing is that it can be short I feel as though it should’ve been shorts under but nonetheless.

I was sooo pleasantly surprised by this skirt! I took these photos and tried it on right away, and will update with a proper full outfit on when I dress up and use it.I have been looking for a pleated skirt for a long time and finally found the right one. I am 5'5' and around 145ish lbs. I lift a lot, have strong legs, and a 28" waist and 40-41" hips. I ordered a medium and so glad i did. Wasn't sure if I should order a large because skirts and shorts run small on my body type. Came here to say the medium is the PERFECT fit and i have about an extra half inch to inch up top. It covers my butt, isn't too short for once, and the material is great. Not too thick, not scratchy, and not stretchy which is what I wanted because it's a traditional pleated skirt.Came on here right away to write a review for all the other women built like me and are wondering how this sizes. Definitely pleased with this!

I got a small based on the size chart and the reviews. I fit a little tight. it was very short also, the fabric is thick and the pattern is nice also.

The quality of this skirt is terrible. I have the same skirt in a different color that I bought directly for American Apparel a while ago and this is nothing like that one. The material is very cheap and thin (seethrough). The fit is way too large. The worst thing is that the American Apparel website doesn't have them for sale and direct links to their Amazon shop, so you can't even buy it from the actual company.

The skirt was super flattering and the print was what I was expecting. Even though the was a stiff material, it was slightly see thru. There is no give to this material and it’s pretty short. I did have to return it even though it accentuates my waistline. I personally looked ridiculous in it at my age. But boy if I was still in my 20s I’d rock this skirt

the waistband does not stretch pretty much at all but i really like that as it sits perfectly around my waist and doesn’t move. it is shorter than i expected but not too short as to be inappropriate. the quality is fantastic and it’s a super cute skirt. my waist size is 23-24 and i usually have a pretty hard time finding skirts that actually stay up and aren’t WAYYY too short but this one was amazing

Just like original American apparel. The brand may be a mess, but this skirt is a classic! Love it!

This is a pretty cool skirt. Surprisingly good quality given that I bought it off amazon. I'm very happy with it. I followed the chart and it fit as expected.

I’m in between a XXS and an XS. I sized down and it was definitely a bit snug but overall not too bad! The material is definitely rigid and would be see through in certain lighting so I’ll wear shorts underneath. Comes down to my mid thigh.

Came on time, looks great on the wife. good quality

Super cute but honestly, I'd just recommend buying from the AA website. The skirts I bought here do not quite match the quality of the ones I have gotten from AA.
