Shimano includes this product in their Tourney series. The price of this derailleur is very affordable, but you are getting polymer components in crucial parts of this product. With very light riding around the neighborhood, the derailleur broke off and got caught by the rear wheel. Luckily, the rider was not hurt. When I removed and disassembled the derailleur, the main connection point where the break happened is made of plastic. I found that the pulleys are also made of plastic. If your budget allows, try for a higher level derailleur. Otherwise, don't expect high durability from this model.

I bought a bike from Wal-Mart with this derailed, after a week of riding my bike, I found the mentioning spring system popped off and over my freewheel. So don't buy this or a bike with this part.

My bike is my only means of transportation to work and the product arrived as my vacation ended! It fit and the gears were adjusted with no problem.
