Catan - 2015 Refresh Edition (The Settlers of Catan)

This has become a firm family fave in our house. My son also takes it to school to play when they have special days. Everyone can get involved.

I found this game from my friend at university. It looks complicated at first but really quick and easy to understand the rules. When it arrived there were a few pieces missing. However, I sent a message to the seller and within 10 minutes they had sent the missing pieces and they arrived within a few days. I was really impressed with this.

I bought this game as a gift as a non-board game player but now I really enjoy playing it. It took a couple of goes to fully understand the game but after that it was second nature. For those who like strategy games this is for you!

One game is never enough. Make sure you set aside time to play again.

I brought one catan (same) from official web, but lost on a train. Then I brought this, I have to say there is a difference between the real one, eg the colour and the material. Think when you buy this.

Lots of fun to have with this game. Works for families and for friends.

We are missing quite a lot of pieces on this game: one full colour (orange) and all the roads. We have not been able to play and we are returning it

カナダの大学に留学していた子供達の又従兄弟がわざわざ持ち帰るほど気に入ったボードゲームです。中学生と高校生で遊んでましたが、モノポリーほど長時間続ける必要もなく、10ポイント先取したプレイヤーが勝ち。地形によってブリック、木材、鉄、穀物、羊(ウール)、砂漠は何も取れませんが、産出出来る原材料が決まっているので、サイコロの目で何が手に入るかが決まり、手持ちの原料を相手と話し合って物々交換する事も出来て、家や街を作って行きます。港を手に入れると産出した原材料を他のものにも交換しやすくなったりするので、ゲームの始まりから計画的に街作りをする必要があり、頭を使います。ルールも単純明快、分かりやすくて良いです。
