Nearly Perfect Case
I don't expect a ton of protection from this case, and you shouldn't either if you're considering it. The front barely extends above the screen edge and tapers at the base of the screen to nothing. I've had a few drops that didn't cause damage, but another drop I wasn't as lucky and that exposed bottom right corner of the screen took a hit and I now have a series of cracks in that corner. But as I said, this case is not meant to offer a ton of protection. I would prefer no case at all, but having this case gives me added functionality in an elegant form, and without a lot of bulk. I enjoy being able to prop my phone up to watch a video or browse the web, and while the angles are limited to a non-adjustable vertical and landscape orientation, they work well for my use case.My son owns an iPhone 5s, and since Akiko doesn't make this case for that device, we opted to buy him the iKare version. The origami functions similarly, but the case by Akiko seems to be built much better. The iKare case had a gap between the case and the flaps when we first opened it, where the glue didn't hold up well. After a few months my Akiko case hasn't shown any similar signs. All ports and buttons are easily accessible and the encased phone fits in my dock with no issue. Getting it in and out of my pocket hasn't been a problem, and the case offers a nice grip. I also enjoy fiddling with the folds and their magnets, which I do quite a bit and once again speaks to the quality since it doesn't show any signs of wear and tear.I purchased the blue case, although I wanted the black which was out of stock at the time. I'm quite happy with the blue though, and like others have said, it does look more black than blue in most lights. When in the bright sun the blue comes out more, but it is a nice shade of blue that the Amazon photography doesn't do justice. If you're not looking for a case that offers Otterbox-like protection, this is a great option to offer some protection and a fun stand that looks and feels great in your hand.

So very close, but no cigar...
*Almost* the perfect case.I ordered this case with much hope. Short version: The lip of the case doesn't rise above the level of the screen, therefore it offers no protection to the screen whatsoever. If you use a screen protector, this might work for you. If you don't, you'll have a hard time with it. Even if you do use a screen protector, the bottom of your 6s will protrude far above the lips of the case, providing zero drop protection for the bottom half of the phone. The stand works quite well. The case fits snugly, and adds very little bulk, but a decent amount of drop protection (everywhere but the screen and bottom of the phone. All of which could be fixed by extending the case lip by a millimeter or two, and the wrap to the bottom edges of the phone.)The price is right, the kickstand is great, and if the manufacturer can only re engineer the case lip to rise a millimeter or two higher, and the case bottom to wrap around the edges of the phone, they'll have a best of a competitor to the Apple branded case (and most other nice, leather cases.)Without that innovation, I can't recommend this. Mine is going back for a return, and the overpriced Apple case (without a kickstand) will take its place.I'll keep a hopeful eye out for an improved offering from Akiko.

I liked this case -- at first.
The design of this case's stand (its origami feature) is really, really nice. It provides excellent support for standing the phone in either horizontal or vertical orientation. However, there are a couple of issues with this case. The first issue can be dealt with, but should be known. The foldable kickstand is secured by a magnet when not in use. This would seem to be brilliant, BUT ... if you carry the phone in a pocket or purse and it is in proximity to cards that have magnetic encoding, then bam, those cards are going to lose their encoding. Not only did this happen with a hotel card key, but with my bus pass in Paris. It was simple enough to get the card key re-programmed (after I figured out what had happened,) and Paris bus drivers don't enforce card validity. But it is an annoyance - just be aware. The other negative to this case is far more of a problem. The bottom of the case does NOT completely cover the iPhone 6/6s. While this leaves the speaker and the connections free and allows for charging on a dock, it also exposes the iPhone bottom surfaces to damage if and when the iPhone is dropped. My iPhone has been marred as a result. To boot, the bottom corners of this case have chipped off, exposing even more surface to damage.I ordered a different case (one without a kick stand) to replace this case. It offered better protection but had its own issues, so it will also be returned. Maybe I'll just design my own case - it should be a fairly simple job to design case that is functionally perfect, but apparently it's not.

Very slim case with nice stand but offers minimal protection
I really wanted to like this case but had to return it.Pros: No bulk, very slim, good material. Absolutely loved the origami style folding stand. Open bottom provides easy access for docking to 30 pin to lightening adapters I still use.Cons: no lip on the screen = broken screen on the first drop on concrete. This was huge for me as I have already gone through a cracked screen on a similar case with another iphone. The bottom section also lacks protection which could lead to scratches, etc.I really wanted to keep this case but these were deal breakers for me. If some lip and a little bottom protection were added. I would buy this case again.

Origami design is great but the case gets worn out fairly quickly
The case itself is great - the origami flap works as intended and I use it all the time to prop my phone up and sideways. People are always fascinated by it! The reason I give it 3 stars is after only a few months the matte finish around the case started wearing off and now it's uneven matte/shiny with cracks where the finish is wearing away. After about 7 months both the bottom corners started cracking and one side came off - maybe I dropped it and screwed it up but this is the fastest it's happened for a case I've owned in the past 3-4 years so far. Time to find a new one!
