Worked perfectly for 3" X 4" notecards (an 8 1/2" X 11" paper divided into 9ths)
I did an exhaustive search for the right sized envelope for a special project I'd been working on for my church, when I came upon these awesome little envelopes! I really don't know how I found them, because it seemed like it took forever searching and searching through many pages, and nothing seemed to fit the size that I was looking for. Unfortunately, I'd made the little note cards before thinking about looking for the correct size that would fit them. (Message to self: always do research for things like this beforehand.) Well, I was almost at the end of my rope trying to find a good fit, when I happened upon these perfect envelopes. I decided to order them and if they didn't work, I'd just send them back. I'd found some other envelopes at a thrift store the day before my order arrived, and I was going to settle for them, but when I started packaging everything, I decided to open up the package of colorful envelopes to see if they'd work----perfect fit! The note cards I made were from an 8 1/2" X 11" piece of paper, divided into 9ths. Each card, as you can see by the pictures fit perfectly into the envelopes with enough room to spare. The lighter colors, (ivory and pale green) were a little more see-through, but altogether, they made a colorful display for my project! I even had enough room to make a hole punch in each to add the ribbon ties. I highly suggest these envelopes for little 3" X 4" note cards!

Got the job done
The envelopes were a bit thin and the adhesive wasn’t as strong as I hoped but they did get the job done.

Good for little notes and flat items SO THIN they will not be sturdy.
These are great colors, you get tons of them and they are perfect for something like kids playing mail or sending notes to friends... they'd work well for sorting stickers, putting a couple of business cards together, or maybe putting a few bills and some change in so you can hand it to the kids quickly. HOWEVER, you would not want to rely upon these for something that is 3 dimensional. They are the thinnest envelopes I have ever felt in my life. Transparent glassine envelopes are stronger that these would be. You get tons for the money so I would recommend them, just don't plan on using them for anything heavy like coins, hardware like screws, or beads because they will most definitely wind up with holes if they are moved around, put in a pocket. As an adult I could put my beads or small jewelry items in them to make sure they weren't lost, but I wouldn't give anything to my kids in them other than a fun lunch note. :) You get what you pay for and while I was surprised at how thin they are, I shouldn't have been.

Great printable seed packets envelopes
I was able to print on these envelopes front and back with my Hp laser printer, had to do some testing first to figure out the settings on my printer, only thing is that halfway through printing the two hundred envelopes, my printer started smudging the start end of the envelopes….. not sure if it was my printer’s fault for a build up of toner or if the paper type of the envelopes caused the toner to start a minor buildup within the printer. I created personalized seed packets as Christmas favors. Print first, put in seeds, and used a damp sponge to activate the adhesive. I am very satisfied with product and will buy again in the future. The envelopes are light weight, but stronger than I originally thought they would be. Good strength for adhesive strip. Satisfied with product

Who doesnt like The Princess Bride?!
These are not self adhesive. They have the dried glue on the edge but it needs to be wet to stick. Traditionally self adhesive means it has the sticky glue that does not need to be wet. So that was disappointing. However, I see now the seller clearly spelled that fact out in the description. It’s just a bit underhanded to say an item is a certain thing in the title to get hits but then to save your butt you explain what you really mean in the long description. They are also thinner than most envelopes I’ve purchased. More like a lightweight copy paper. My guess is if you’ve read this far, you probably noticed the big pictures in the description explaining the glue process. So you probably don’t need me to tell you the envelopes need your help to stick and can’t adhere by themselves. It’s just frustrating that you can’t trust people on their surface. It’s like when someone posts just the best pictures of their life on social media and you’re like, “wow, what a cool person, I want to get to know them better!” And so you ask them out and you go out a few times and then you realize that those social media posts were photoshopped, that they have a terrible personality, and their cute dog barks constantly and humps everything it can get on top of. And you feel a little tricked but then you look closer on their social media posts and see the drag lines on the photos, the post where they brag their dog failed obedience classes, and they complain that they hate the movie The Princess Bride. So all the info was there for you to read, you were just in a hurry. So don’t be in a hurry and things will be ok. Like with these envelopes, you can’t always judge something by the label it’s given, sometimes you have to read the ingredients.
