The media could not be loaded.  This is a well made and very nice bore snake, of course it would slide much better through the barrel with lubrication, the brass bristles are made with great quality as the rest of the snake. Would be perfect to throw in your bag to carry along as it's so compact. I would highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  Honestly the selling point was the little case it came in, just to keep the range bag more organized.This snake is significantly thinner than it should be, and a fraction of the length of the other snakes I have. There is no resistance pulling this thru the bore.Not recommended.

This bore snake is awesome!!! I first purchased one for my Ruger PC carbine in 9mm and loved it. So of course I had to order more, I have one for my AR15, 22 rifle, AK47, 6.5 creedmoor and another in 9mm for my Keltec Sub2000. They all work great!!! After range time, I pass the snake through whichever rifle or I’m using. The fact that it comes in a little case (which is also the handle) is perfect for taking it to the range for a quick cleaning. This is a must buy and I highly recommend this product!!!!!

Nice bore snake. They first sent me a 40/45 which is the exact same color. The case acts as a handel to pull it thru. The weave is big and looks to be the same size as the .45 so I am guessing I'll need the handel to pull it thru the barrel. Really my biggest gripe is the lack of caliber identification. I'll guess I'll write what it is in sharpie before I mix it in with the rest of my cleaning supplies.

I bought this for my .22 pistol. I shoot cheap lead ammo through it, and the bore gets dirty pretty quickly. I shoot 50 rounds through, then whip the bore snake through a couple of times (without disassembling the pistol), and continue shooting. It folds up nicely in the case, and drops easily into my range bag. Less than half the price of some of the others out there. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Cleans up my 22lr airsoft guns very well. (I don't own any real guns). I've never seen the rifling look so good, the bore practically shines after use with hoppes #9 (for airsoft guns, of course). I definitely recommend, cuts through all that crud easy, I practically don't even have to use my brass brush anymore

Yes it's to thick even covered in gun oil it broke the lead cord twice, first the brass tip broke off in the case. Then I tied it to a wood dowel. and again it broke.This is more for a .22 cal. then a .17, it went through my 22 just fine. But the 17 no way, I think I should get another free and this time make sure it will pass through a 17 without trouble.

Description is misleading. The item is 14.5 inches long, which makes it useless if the gun has a barrel longer than 16 inches. At best, this is a pistol/handgun boresnake. No good for any carbine or rifle.
