Very simple to set up and use. An excellent basic 'phone. I opted to use a 1p Mobile SIM card and that was equally easy to set up. If you don't want a smart phone then this is ideal. Very easy to navigate the menu and make choices and selections. Perfect for my needs. Thank you to Tech-Outlet from whom I purchased the phone - super fast delivery (marred by Royal Mail, unfortunately, but this was NOT the sellers fault). The Amazon listing states that the phone comes with a Mains Plug. Mine did but the box also contained the charging cradle which was an unexpected surprise as this retails for about £15 on its own. The Mains Plug connects to the cradle or directly to the phone and the other end is a standard 3 pin plug for inserting into a socket. If you need to charge the phone in the car then you'll need to buy another cable with a standard USB. My only concern at this early stage of usage relates to the battery. If I remove the phone from the cradle, fully charged, open it, switch it on and then turn it off and return it immediately to the cradle then the charging process begins. This suggests that perhaps the battery loses its charge rather quickly. I've not yet used the phone very much so this is something I'll have to keep an eye on. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with this purchase, the prompt delivery by Tech-Outlet and the SIM/phone set-up process via 1p Mobile. An excellent all-round experience.

My mother loves this phone easy to use, good sound and easy set up. Definately great for the elderly if a smart phone isn't for you.

My mother-in-law is 87 and has owned a number of mobile phones over the years. Her old phone - like this, a Doro - was starting to fail, and she was in search of a new one. She didn't want a smartphone - she doesn't use the internet, has no use for apps, and wanted something with a long battery life - so we bought her this.It's a very plasticky clamshell phone, very light, and in the box there's the phone, a charging cable, a removable battery, an instruction leaflet, and a stand - you can plug the cable into this if you wish and then insert the phone into the stand, so there's less fiddling around with cables. The phone takes a micro SIM (not the big ones, not the tiny nano ones) so if you don't have this size SIM you may need to get a new one from your operator, or if yours is too small, an adapter would work.It takes a few hours to charge, and once full the battery life is good - after all, this is a simple, no-frills phone. Setup is a doddle, and the screen is bright and easy to read, with large text and the speaker is loud. It's ideal for someone who wants to make or receive calls, and send and receive texts. Apparently it can get online, and there is a camera too, but we've not tried those as we just needed the absolute basics.So, if you're looking for a small, light, loud, easy to use, cheap, no-frills mobile phone, this is ideal for you.

This was purchased to replace the exact same phone for an elderly relative. The previous phone had lasted years and at 83 years old she didnt want to get to know a different one , she is so happy with it. She can see the big buttons and finds it very easy to use. Its basic but thats all she needs and wants. Overall a great buy if you just want something simple and straight forward with no extra fancy frills

My 93 year old mother has had this model in the past and I replaced it on Amazon on 15/5/24. Charger did it fit side of the phone so used charger cradle. Battery charged for 4 days in total and would not charge at all after that. I had previously bought another Doro phone directly from Amazon (which my mother did not find as user friendly) so switched battery and worked. I would return this device if not for the fact my mother cannot do without her phone. Stupidly, I did not realise this was refurbished as not clear at all and could actually have got a new one at a cheaper price. I did think box looked used but only today when I googled the seller did it become clear it was second hand . Hard lesson- never again

Bought for my 82 year old dad , great quality large buttons easy to use

I bought this phone for my elderly mother. She is only looking for a phone that will make and receive phone calls and send texts. Nothing too complicated. I've tried to get her to use a smartphone, but she's not interested even though she has her iPad and she lives on that every day. Can't recommend this product enough if you've got an elderly relative. This is the second one of these and the reason why we changed was the first one went faulty after a few years which was fine then not very expensive however we upgraded to this one because it supports 3G and the other one only supported 2G.

Das Doro 6620 ist gut für Senioren geeignet. Es ist einfach zu bedienen und hat ein gute und laute Tonqualität. Die 80jährige Nutzerin kommt damit zurecht und versteht nun auch die Gesprächspartner besser. Das Gehäuse ist aus sehr billig wirkendem Plastik und ich befürchte, dass es nicht allzu stabil ist. Das Handy ist nicht gerade günstig, aber wenn man die Features eines Seniorentelefons braucht, muss man wohl etwas mehr ausgeben. Leider kam das Doro6620 mit einem UK-Netzteil das in Deutschland nicht zu gebrauchen war. Auch war nur eine englische Bedienungsanleitung dabei. Das lag wohl am Verkäufer, der ohne entsprechenden Hinweis UK-Geräte in Deutschland anbot. Nach Reklamation gab es eine Preisreduktion und Gutschrift.

Es un buen teléfono, muy simple pero idóneo para personas mayores. Es ya el tercero que compro para los abuelos. En este caso es la renovación para una abuela de 93 años que lo maneja sin ningún problema y además le encanta.Las cuatro estrellas es porque me ha llegado el cargador con clavija inglesa, detalle del que podrían informar, porque el cargador sencillamente no me sirve y no voy a empezar a complicarle la vida a la abuela con adaptadores.
