Work well and easy to store.
I've used one of these (same brand and model) for about 10 years of camping and now bought 5 more for storing water when a hurricane threatens our area (we are on well water and loose electricity for several days every time a severe storm hits). They are reliable, don't leak, don't degrade or give off oder or taste over time (I store them in a cool dark place). The fact that they colapse makes storing 6 of them in the space of one hard-shell 5 gallon jug possible.

Rolley-Polley
I love that this collapses to save space in our camp box until we need to fill it. I did have a few issues with it though:1- I cleaned it out before we left and noticed that the water was coming out really really slow. After looking in the nozzle I noticed that there was excess manufacturing molding that was covering the outlet for the water to flow out, used an exact-o blade to remove all these pieces then water flowed great.2 - when filled, it does not hold any type of 'box' shape like the photo, instead it just kind of rolls around. we finally just placed it on a tree stump near the ground because it would just roll off the table and the nozzle would get mud all over it...Overall it's an ok container, the plastic seems heavy enough, the handle seems to be sturdy, didn't leak glad purchased it to save space over our large plastic water containers that just took up so much room.

Im using for emergency water storage in a closet
Had a set of 4 loaded with emergency water for over a year, no problems at all (one should rotate at least 6 months, but at least I had water around...) Just moved and one of them (two years old, used for long term store) popped a seal somewhere, I came back to a closet with 5 gallons on the carpet (no big deal...) They were stacked two high (filled) with no problem. Seems like the non-rigid form is helpful for storage in a closet.Probably wise to not try and fill all the way. I leave them a little floppy (because that's the easy fill level in a bathtub) and think its a good idea to reduce stress on them (by floppy i mean not 100% full) Perhaps that is the leakage problem people encounter?

One time use
One time use. If you treat like it is made of thin glass it fine but for Camping it simply cracks and develops holes just storing it.

Ugh. Plastic taste way too strong.
Bought 2 of these as water vessels for Burning Man. Ours didn't leak thankfully but the plastic taste was overwhelming once the water sat in the carriers for a couple of days. And I am not just talking the "hm.... I can tell this was sitting in plastic" taste. It was "OMG this is so horrible it makes me sick and I'd rather not drink any water at all" - and that was a real problem since we were in the hot desert with only source of water sitting in these jugs! If you buy them - at least make sure they sit in a cool place out of the sun; pretty sure high temperatures contributed to the toxic soup that resulted

Compact yet very functional, doesn't last forever.
This is a great idea for carrying water in a vehicle. Not practical for hiking with water in it of course but great for carrying empty and then filling at a camp site or carrying water to a camp site in a truck. Folks up very small and even cleans pretty easy. The spout works great and close tight and makes pouring very easy. The only downfall is these only last through about 15-20 uses if folded up after each use. There is no reinforcment at the corners and sharp folds at the corners often crack the plastic after several uses.

Worst Camping Purchase Ever! Will Not Stay Upright. Was on the ground all weekend!
I rarely write reviews, but I want to save someone else all the hassle this useless item caused us. It simply doesn't stay upright no matter what you do-- fill it a little or a lot -- it ends up collapsing and ending up on the ground in the dirt and mud! We are a family group of frequent tent campers and we generally perch one of these on the edge of our picnic table and fill with water for hand washing, dish washing, etc. Space is always at a premium with a family of a five and a not so large vehicle, so we thought that leaving our good, old, serviceable water carrier at home for this space-saving option would be a good idea. Not so! We spent the entire weekend grappling about in the mud and dirt trying to put this ridiculous contraption back up on our table, after it fell off EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. We finally gave up and just ended up pouring drinking water out of bottles on our hands to wash up. When you're camping, and without any amenities of home, all the little things really count... and this one caused heaps of frustration... Learn from us and just *don't* do it!

Invaluable for camping.
We bought this for a six week camping trip through Michigan and the maritime provinces of Canada. It was invaluable. Works great. At first I was a little doubtful that the handle could hold the weight of five gallons, but discovered that it well designed and durable. The spout doesn't drip and easy to use if you want a controlled pour. When I wanted more volume, I just unscrewed the top and did quick fills (like for the dishwashing tubs.) It collapses easily and flat for storage. I would highly recommend.
