Crafted in France from tempered glass, these tumblers have excellent resistance to mechanical stress and thermal shock. They are manufactured from the same tempered glass used to make windscreens which, in the event of an impact or accident, shatters into thousands of non-cutting pieces. Tempered glass also resists thermal shock of up to 130°C, while an ordinary glass breaks above 40°C. Additionally, these toughened glasses are spray coated with organic colours, bringing you fun colours that are user safe and environmentally friendly. Although these Duralex glasses are dishwasher safe, they should always be washed using a delicate cycle. However, it is strongly recommended that these glasses are hand washed for a longer product life. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers. Nice little glasses
Purchased these for my Dad who has poor eye sight. Thought the colours would help him locate his drink on the tray.

Coated with a later of green film
I started using the glass for drinking cold water out of the tap. I rinsed it with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. The glass, but has a coating of some kind on a regular glass. Whilst I was drinking water, I realised bits of this coating started to chip around the rim of the glass and I found one small coating floating in my water. Would not recommend!
