This a pic of the original door opener and the capacitor.
The capacitor that I bought here worked perfectly in my old model garage door opener. However it did not fix the problem. The unit still just clicks and does not operate at all, even with the new capacitor. This is not the capacitors fault, the fault is somewhere else in the system. I had hoped a new capacitor would fix the problems but ended up just buying a new Genie 1/2 hp door opener to replace the 1/3 hp Allister door opener from 1980.

Replaced an Air-O-MAtic 1980s Garage door
Installed this in an old original Air-O-MAtic 1980s Garage door Works. The belt broke and needed to be replaced. The door did not lift without the belt the pully turned.
